When I write about love my pen almost floats on the page, seemingly effortless- the words come without struggle. And when I wrote about pain… It’s the exact same. And that’s because pain, like love, is so necessary and so evident and so real. It’s not hard for me to write about what I feel because that’s just what it is. It’s honesty in its purest form. Pain needs to be felt and sometimes humans need to be shattered. We must not correlate these broken parts with being a broken person though- really and truly all we are is these pieces aligned and realigned differently as a result of our own personal experiences and unique lenses. The main difference between love and pain though, is that pain is always temporary and love is eternal. Pains leads us to love. Pain shapes us to love better. And at the end of the day I believe that love will always hold us tightly and put pain into it’s rightful place when we allow it to.
