do you ever feel like you’re the elephant in the room, except the room is literally everywhere you go? like you’re somehow taking up way too much space while also being completely invisible. you notice everything and everything little thing, every time someone’s tone changes, every conversation you weren’t included in, until you’ve convinced yourself that everyone was perfectly fine before you showed up. so you get quieter, stop joining conversations, try to make yourself as unnoticeable as possible and pretend you wanted to be alone anyway. and then you watch everyone else exist so effortlessly and wonder what it’s like to walk into a room without immediately feeling like you need to apologize for being in it

I def know what you mean, I was in a similar situation when I was your age. Now I still agree on some parts like for example i often feel like im being stared at in a bad way. Also I often feel not really welcomed in groups, even tho I know thats not the case.

When I was younger I had a hard time dealing with that, but once you realize that all of this r just signs of your own insecurity you can work on these things and it will get better.

Also the things you described like the discomfort/ anxiety as soon as you get around people and in result of that getting quiet or removing yourself from social interaction r a lack of confidence. I dont mean this in a bad way, its totally normal and something everyone experiences at some point in life and I defenetly did as well.

Once you realized that you can build yourself up, I know its not an easy thing to do but its possible and youll learn over time.

I think you need to understand that you r never to much or to less and if someone tries to convince you that you r, they r stupid. If they make u feel shitty for being yourself, they r stupid aswell. Stop giving a single fuck about what other people think of you, ik its easy to say but ones you do and step out of your comfort zone the things you described will get better. It absolutely doesn’t matter if someone likes you or not, bcs these other people dont define you as a person, you do. So be whoever you wanna be and dont let other people tell you who you r or who you should be. Its important that you like yourself, not the others. And ones you come to accepting yourself as you r, you wont care about the tone in someones voice or how they r looking at you anymore. Bcs that stuff really doesn’t matter. Be yourself and you will attract people that accept you as u r and if they dont you shouldn’t give af about them.
