I talked to a friend who was hurting. She talked about being molested by 2 different people. Everyone told her about how predators pick their victims (shy, reserved, scared, etc) FUCK THAT! I don't get robbed because of how I act, no one gets raped because how they act. If someone attacks anyone, it isn't anything they wore, did, said, or felt. It's because the attack was a fucked up, damaged, dangerous human who needs help and not excuses. If anyone takes advantage of you, yes you can do things to limit what they can do, but you cannot stop them and it isn't your fault ever! Sorry for the rant. My friend deserves better and not some apologist fuck head version of placing blame. She was and is innocent. She is a beautiful person. I have been asking that question and I am sure many of you have as well. So far, Sprite Fall has undergone more changes than I anticipated. I made a major breakthrough on a character that wasn’t coming across the way I wanted. She’s been screaming at me since the first book that she isn’t as mousy as I let her appear in the edited version. So a full rewrite for a major character. Check.
