Hear me out: Grace wears at Cats the musical shirt, right? Headcanon that Grace was a theatre kid back when he was in school, but never really pursued anything with it. (I mean, just look at his classroom demos...) So he has a little singing experience.

While Grace can't quite get Eridian language right, humans are notoriously good vocal mimics. He manages a heavily accented version of a few Eridian words, eventually-- the one he's best at being Rocky's name.

In that first image he's feeling his throat to get a handle on pitch. By the time the second one happens, he's able to do it with the accompanying body language.

Happy TGS Monday! Have a few epilogue doodles + headcanons!

Hyde being defensive about the streak in his hair. I personally headcanon that Jekyll can get a blonde streak too, and that they don't always have the streak-- instead, they'll get little hints of each other's appearance when they're leaning into the other's domain. Hyde had the streak doing the airship raid because he had to engage in the normally Jekyll-domain skills of coordinating the attack.

Exploring different outfits to give Jekyll/Hyde. Ft. the duality vest look I gave Jekyll in my webcomic, because hey I already had a design that combined the classic potion colors, why not.

I think post-canon they have to commit to sharing a style given their higher frequency of transformation. Jekyll wants something around his neck, he feels naked without it, and Hyde wants to look edgy. They also usually have some kind of hood so they can hide their faces in public, and the outfit has to be outdoorsy enough for their life at the Second Society camp.

Transformation! I think I'm committing to this scarf + vest look. It mimics Hyde's mindscape clothes and otherwise works with what I outlined for them.

Hyde preparing for the airship raid. On special occasions, they'll need a different fit. These are not always to both of their standards.

Transformation animation of @glass-scientists, done is my best imitation of the comic's style~

I wanted to try animating the super fast switches Jekyll and Hyde do towards the end of the comic. I usually prefer my transformation sequences drawn-out and dramatic, but I like the idea of these casual ones happening in a blink. Also, the background transitioning colors was a suggestion from a friend (it reminds me of Danny Phantom, haha).

This comes from an animation project that has since been put on hiatus as I’m pursuing other projects. While concepting I was inspired to create some music -- this one plays in the Nullspace, the dreamlike space between realities. It’s easily my favorite of the bunch, as making something that was intentionally meant to sound dissonant and creepy was super fun. I also used a few real-life samples in this, including whispering, a crow's call, and a train rushing by.
