GODDDDDD. for YEARS this has consistently been the stupidest take circulating in the fandom. they are not related. literally the only "proof" of it is that they both have a similar origin but that literally means NOTHING???? lets be fr here, its more likely that den and basi are related (literally. just look at them and tell me those arent two distant cousins.)

saying that dax are implied to be related is also extremely weird when both den and max have been making sexual jokes towards each other for AGES. like anyone who sees that and thinks "ah yes these two are siblings" is just sick in the head. headcanoning them as related already treads a fine line just because of the already gay undertones their intactions have with each other, but i guess i cant take on people who want to have fun with it, as long as they understand that theres NO evidence or implication that theyre related in canon AT ALL.
