[Hi mod! Saw your note... sorry! Genuinely don't know what happened there, I swear it wasn't intentional. It seriously was just. Hummingbirds. Some of my favorite even. Idk just pretend the pictures are there, I'll try to remember what exactly I said...]
Here! Something a little more to your taste, maybe. I forgot you didn't have a lot of sweetener in your time, so these are a little less sweet. I also brought you some pictures, hopefully they're in color. They're hummingbirds, the first is a Violet Sabrewing and the second is a Purple-Throated Woodstar. I thought you'd like the colors. Yknow, if there's anything else you want to know about from our time (today's date is March 25, 2026!), I'd be happy to share :) obviously nothing big (unlike the other guy... ):<) but things about tech and whatnot :) enjoy!
🕯️“I might as well be a food critic at this rate! Not that I’m complaining…”🕯️
Celine stares at the pomegranate for a few seconds. Her fingers form a fist at her chin. She reaches towards the fruit, but pulls back. She tries again. Pulls back again. It’s very clear she has no idea how to even try to approach this. Finally, she sighs. Celine leaves the room, returning with a cleaver.
🕯️“It’s interesting to say the least. I’m not the biggest fan of all the textures and flavors, but it isn’t bad. It tastes sort of like a cranberry I suppose, but the seeds are…I don’t particularly like the seeds I’m afraid. I think Marc might be more favorable towards this. He enjoys sour candies to a fault. Actually, when we were kids he ate so much sour candy behind his mother’s back that his mouth bled! Poor thing couldn’t taste things for days after. And yet he still adores everything sour and citric.”🕯️
Celine hums happily at the memory. She writes down her review, and scribbles down a small note in the margins. “Ask Marc about pomegranate.”
Celine turns to the orange next. Thankfully, a note has been left with this one on how to “open” it. She taps the orange against the table a few times, then gently pulls off the foil. She smiles at the replica of orange slices.
🕯️“I think that for the very first time I am upset that these are all from the future! Take that as a compliment my dear. It’s very charming, it looks just like an actual orange! I must admit I favor chocolate, but this is more bitter. I like it a lot, and the hint of orange is delightful! Then again, it may be for the best that we don’t have these now. I’ve already finished it within ten minutes. Who knows how many I’d eat if they were widely available.”🕯️
Celine finishes writing her review. She looks at her crystal ball nestled on a velvet pillow.
🕯️“I…don’t quite know how this all works if I am honest. If you can read what it is that I write or see what it is that I do. But, I’ve realized that I have never said thank you. Words cannot express how delightful this journey has been. You don’t really have to keep sending me items, it spoils me far too much. But I am grateful nonetheless.”🕯️
Looking back down at her journal, Celine lets out a small gasp upon seeing vivid purples spilling over the page. Tucked in the bottom corner is an illustration of the most beautiful birds she has ever seen. They look as if they were just painted, dark ink and vibrant watercolor forming beaks and wings. It seems as if her message has been received.
