im slowly getting back to the swing of things! sorry for the sudden unannounced hiatus but i'm (hopefully) back! made this after my rewatch of damien with a friend, i never realised how similar they were until now, i get you darkconvict shippers...

When I first watched Iron Lung, I admit in saying that I was a little surprised people were shocked that Mark made this like…deep psychological cosmic horror film as if it felt so distinct from his brand. Like I watched (and fucking loved) Damien, I kinda always knew he had something like that in him. Sure it wasn’t full of jokes like his other projects, but idk I sorta saw the trajectory of how we got here.

But after recently rewatching In Space and the WKM series, I’m realizing “oh no this was ALWAYS his schtick.” Guy actually has multiple projects talking about cosmic horror, manipulation of time and space, plotlines that require multiple rewatches to pick up on all the pieces, and complicated characters facing their past mistakes and how they react to that in the present. The only difference is that Iron Lung isn’t funny lol.
