LET'S GO, BABY!!!
While it's not an official greenlight from Viz, Kerry has announced that Volume 10 is in the early writing and production phases!
The dream never dies!
If you're looking to get into RWBY or rewatch the series, Apple TV is having a sale for one week where you can get each volume at a discounted price! Go and check them out if you haven't already!
Happy birthday to everyone's favorite Ice Queen!
🤍🤍🤍
WE ARE SO BACK!!!
❤️🤍🖤💛
Has it really already been two years since we got this iconic kiss? It feels like it was just yesterday.
Happy anniversary to the bees! 💛🖤💛🖤
This is still to this day one of the funniest examples of two characters sharing the same voice actress if you ask me. Jen Taylor sure has range.
I KNOW, RIGHT???
Nine years later, it still hurts…
I'M SORRY, WHAT?!?!
ROOSTER TEETH WAS BOUGHT OUT BY ITS OWN FOUNDER?!?!
I AM SO CONFUSED RIGHT NOW!!!
Which infamously depressing RWBY episode made you cry more?
V3e12 End of the Beginning
V9e8 Tea Amidst Terrible Trouble
Man, that's a tough choice. I wasn't brought to tears, per se, so I have to go with which one made me more emotionally devastated. So it's official, then. End of the Beginning takes the cake.
See, Ruby drinking the tea was heartbreaking to watch, and it took me a while to process it, but it didn't take NEARLY as long as it did when I watched Pyrrha's death for the first time. That scene took me, I kid you not, an ENTIRE WEEK, and maybe even LONGER, to fully process. I was quite literally DEPRESSED over it. And keep in mind, I had chosen to watch this episode BEFORE V4 was announced. I had NO WAY of knowing the series would be continuing. So I LEGITIMATELY thought End of the Beginning was the final episode. And that made it even MORE of a punch to the gut.
Also, I've mentioned in the past how I felt a lump in my throat when Pyrrha died. Ruby's ascension didn't do that. It was INCREDIBLY devastating, yes, but I wouldn't say it almost made me cry. Pyrrha's death most certainly DID. And when it comes to me, that's saying a LOT. I'm pretty much bulletproof when it comes to sad scenes, so to have a scene almost make me cry is a HUGE deal for me.
So I gotta put End of the Beginning on top. Then again, the question was, "which one made you cry more". So since End of the Beginning ALMOST made me cry, and Tea Amidst Terrible Trouble didn't quite reach that point for me (I was still ABSOLUTELY crushed, though), the former wins by default. Tea Amidst Terrible Trouble was a devastating episode, to be sure. But the impression it left on me just can't compete with the absolute emotional hurricane that was End of the Beginning.
However long it takes to see my girls again, you can bet on it that I will be there when that day comes. Whatever it is they're cooking, I'm positive that it'll be worth the wait.
Happy birthday to Team RWBY's fearless leader!
❤️❤️❤️
I miss my girls…
Just found out that today is the birthday of my favorite RWBY character! So…
Happy birthday, Yang Xiao Long!
💛🔥
You know, I still don't think it's entirely hit me yet that RWBY is continuing after all.
When I heard that Rooster Teeth was shutting down, I was absolutely distraught. For the past 8 years, I had been deeply engrossed in a series that had brought more emotion out of me than any other series has. And now, with no warning, I was being forced to deal with the potential reality of that series never being brought to its conclusion. It felt like a slap to the face; like I had spent all this time getting immersed in this absolute masterpiece of a series…all for nothing. I just couldn't accept that. And I was prepared to write my own ending if that was what I had to do.
But it makes me REALLY happy to know that that reality has been avoided.
I really can't express how grateful I am to CRWBY for their absolute refusal to give up after Rooster Teeth's shutdown and for putting in the time and effort to find RWBY a new home. In their shoes, a lot of other creators would simply throw in the towel and look for work elsewhere. But CRWBY stuck it out. They didn't give up. And it was thanks to their perseverance that the series has found a new home.
RWBY is a series that I hold very dear to me. It has touched my heart in a way that no other series has. It has made me laugh, almost made me cry (which is saying a LOT for me), made me jump for joy, terrified me, and made me genuinely love and hate fictional characters more than any series I've ever watched. And I am truly overjoyed to see it avoid being shelved and get a second chance with Viz Media.
Rooster Teeth's shutdown damn near killed RWBY. But it DIDN'T kill RWBY. The series is going to continue onwards, and that makes me really happy. Here's to a bright future. I'm really excited to see what comes next.
