in which Rolf doesn’t understand why his big sister would rather date another woman than a man.
Rolf can. not tell that his big sister is... not exactly romantically interested in boys.

“Er… that’s good, then.” He smiled weakly.
Johan stumbled a bit as he rushed from the elevator onto more solid ground. The lack of shuddery movement helped somewhat with his discomfort, but didn’t put him at ease about his surroundings.
He followed Rolf around the apartment in a haze, unable to believe his eyes or his luck. The apartment seemed more like a set in a film than an actual place where someone would live. He’d been in Rolf’s family’s home before, of course, and it had been even more lush and opulent than this apartment, but it was fitting for the people living in it. It didn’t make nearly as much sense for an ordinary person like him to end up living somewhere so decadent.
Rolf was aware that his friend wasn't entirely at ease with his new surroundings. He offered him a reassuring smile.
"I know that this is... different from what you're used to. Just give it some time. In a few months, this'll seem perfectly normal for you." He shrugged. "Besides, Felicie will be comfortable here, and she'll be safe. This is a good neighbourhood, and, um... I think that's the most important thing."
"This is a place where you and Felicie can actually raise children... even if you decide to try to get a place with more rooms later on. This is a good place to start."
How are you today?
“I’m well, and you?”
What would you do if you and your future wife couldn't have children together?
“Well… I would be devastated, but we both very much want children, so I assume that we’d adopt.”
Does your fiancee ever scratch you when you're, er, being intimate?
Rolf narrowed his eyes. "Why?" There was no way that the anon could have known that, at least not for sure...
What would you do if you lost Elisabeth?
"I have no idea, and I really don't want to think about it. I just hope that I'll never have to lose her."
your favourite part of your sexual partner's body?
"Her body? I don't suppose her face counts, does it?" Rolf shrugged. "I love all of her... it's hard to narrow it down to just one thing I love the most... I don't think that I can, really. She's just so... perfect."
Have you ever been attracted to someone who wasn't your fiancee?
"N-no, I don't... think that I really have been attracted to anyone else. Elisabeth's been in my life since I was a baby, and... it's always been her."
why did you kiss the last person you kissed?
"She's my fiancée and I love her."
How would you feel about your fiancée tying you up to your bed and having her way with you?
"I... can't say that I'd mind, really."
Tell us about them.
"My dreams? No, I rather think that that's private."
Do you have any fantasies you'd consider unusual? Tell us one! (if not, tell us one of your boring normal fantasies)
"Nothing... very unusual, no. I don't think that I really have any... fantasies... at least nothing that we haven't done."
By "unusual", I mean "sexy".
Rolf cleared his throat. "In that case... yes, I have. But who hasn't?"
Have you ever had... unusual dreams about your fiancée?
Rolf arched an eyebrow. "Define 'unusual'."

“Ah… yes, I suppose it is…” He didn’t know much about style, but the apartment building’s decorations did seem somewhat more subdued than those in Rolf’s parents’ home. Still, the contrast between this building and what he was used to seemed glaringly obvious to Johan.
“I see… so I won’t have to worry about being woken up in the middle of the night by dancers getting off on the wrong floor, then?” The halfhearted joke fell a little flat, but it served to help distract him from his discomfort at his grandiose surroundings, at least.
Johan stepped tentatively into the elevator, shifting his weight nervously from foot to foot. He wasn’t sure how to greet the operator, and settled for returning his nod.
Johan barely managed to avoid letting out a startled yelp when the elevator shuddered and started to rise. Leaning with forced casualness on the side of the elevator only slightly reduced his uneasiness at being trapped in a moving box, and he hoped fervently that the ride would be over quickly.
Rolf smiled at his friend's joke. "No, I don't think so. There's really no reason for them to be above the third floor, anyway. There are only three apartments above that: mine, yours, and my maid's."
Rolf knew his friend well enough to tell that he was feeling uneasy, but hoped that those feelings would subdue fairly quickly, for Johan's sake. The elevator reached the fifth floor, and the operator stopped. "Thanks," Rolf said with a nod as the operator opened the doors.
He directed his friend to the door to his apartment, first indicating the servants' apartment: "That's the servants' apartment; as of right now it's just Anika. But both of our apartments have bells wired to that apartment, labelled, of course, so if you need anything, just ring. I'll show you where the cords are to ring them," he added as he fished the key out of his pocket, opening the door to his best friend's new apartment, before handing the key to Johan. "I have a spare if you need it."
The apartment was dark, and Rolf turned the hall lights on. "Electric lights, of course. And... down this side hallway is your kitchen and dining room." He turned the lights on as he led his friend through the rooms. "As you can see, the kitchen has an icebox, plenty of counterspace, and a stove. I think there are a few dishes in the cabinets; you can check later. The cord for the bell is here," he added, indicating. "And there's a door to the dining room, of course." He led his friend into the next room, which was furnished. "I'm afraid it's all formal dining, but that shouldn't be too much of an issue." He indicated this room's bell cord, as well, before leading his friend back out into the main hallway.
"There's a telephone and a chair here," he said, pointing to the corner, "and this door right here is the guest room. It only has one bed, but it comes with a wardrobe and a desk, too." He showed his friend the room, again indicating the cord. "And at the end of this hall is the bathroom." The bathroom was rather modest, with a sink, a toilet, a bathtub, and a cabinet, but Rolf figured that it was better than what Johan had been living with. "And on the right is your bedroom." He opened the door to the large bedroom. There was no need to turn on the lights, as the street-facing room was receiving plenty of sunlight. "Bed, couch, fireplace, dry sink, a small desk... and through here is your dressing room, which is where you'll find your wardrobe and some mirrors, and where you can put all of your clothes." He indicated the cords before leading his friend across the hall to the study.
"Here's your study. I suppose if you and Felicie end up having children, then you can convert this to a bedroom, but I think the shelves are built in to the wall. The previous owner left quite a few books here, too." This was the room that Rolf had the most memories of sitting in, as it was undoubtedly his uncle's favourite room in the house. "Windows, if you want to smoke, so you don't choke to death." Rolf also indicated the cord, desk, armchairs, and side-table that had previously supported more than a few bottles of liquor.
"And if we go back up and down this side-hallway, here, we've got your sitting room. Or parlour." He opened the door to this room, which was again (for the time being) lit by natural lighting. "Light switch is here if you need it, right next to the cord. It's a nice room, spacious... not very intimate, though." The room was nice, though, with plush sofas and armchairs, and an upright piano. "I don't know if you know how to play, but I'm sure that the owner wouldn't mind."
Rolf shrugged. "It's really not all that impressive for a family, but... it's quite a bit nicer and more spacious than your old place. I'm right downstairs if you have any questions; you can either take the stairs or ring for the elevator - although the stairs might be faster. I'm the only apartment down there, so it shouldn't be too hard to figure out."
