The Men in Black are an alleged faction of the government who many believe are involved in silencing UFO witnesses and doing coverups on UFO and extraterrestrial sightings. The first sightings of the Men in Black took place in the 1950′s where their description was still the same as it is today; tall men who were typically bald and in their mid to late 30′s-40′s wearing black suits, white shirts, black ties, and black bowler hats. Witnesses who have encountered the Men in Black say are very hostile and intimidating; they threaten or imply threats of harm to the UFO witness or their family and friends if they don’t remain silent, destroy any evidence they had, or simply to stop researching the matter all together. Usually visits from the Men in Black are a one time thing however sometimes people are visited by them more than once. Some people believe that they are a faction of the FBI or CIA or another government organization while some believe they are extraterrestrials or are supernatural and paranormal in nature themselves. People have also made connections between them and the Black eyed Children saying they feel a feeling of dread when visited by the Men in Black or see them with the Black eyed Children themselves. Some people just believe that the Men in Black are a myth but we may never know the true identities of these mysterious and iconic figures.

Happy birthday, Charles Fort
“We cannot define. Nothing has ever been finally figured out, because there is nothing final to figure out.” Happy birthday to Charles Fort. May I suggest celebrating by reading THE UNIDENTIFIED by Colin Dickey?
“Montauk, New York”, gouache & watercolor on paper.
My personal favorite cryptid~*~* This is my interpretation of the Montauk Monster, the name given to an animal carcass that washed ashore and was captured in a photograph before the body mysteriously disappeared; though many possible identifications of the creature have been proposed, the corpse is pretty obviously just a raccoon (but keep the legend alive!)
What if instead of a vicious beast, Sharktopus was shaped like a friend? 🦈+🐙=❤❤❤
Have this piece for #Mermay I guess! 😜
Kraken is a legendary sea monster of large proportions that is said to dwell off the coasts of Norway and Greenland. The legend may have originated from sightings of giant squid that are estimated to grow to 12–15 m (40–50 ft) in length, including the tentacles. The sheer size and fearsome appearance attributed to the kraken have made it a common ocean-dwelling monster in various fictional works.
Since the late 18th century, kraken have been depicted in a number of ways, primarily as large octopus-like creatures, and it has often been alleged that Pontoppidan’s kraken might have been based on sailors’ observations of the giant squid. The Kraken is also depicted to have spikes on its suckers. In the earliest descriptions, however, the creatures were more crab-like than octopus-like, and generally possessed traits that are associated with large whales rather than with giant squid. Some traits of kraken resemble undersea volcanic activity occurring in the Iceland region, including bubbles of water; sudden, dangerous currents; and appearance of new islets.
Although fictional and the subject of myth, the legend of the kraken continues to the present day, with numerous references existing in popular culture, including film, literature, television, video games and other miscellaneous examples (e.g. postage stamps, a roller-coaster ride, and a rum product).
