I've thought about what poster I should try to create to kickstart this year and I decided to create a Karma poster (in a retro y2k style ofc!) since I feel like this year is gonna be a big year for me in terms of further success and personal development 💜

21/30 | HELLBOUND I had a conversation with @mayks.go a while back about the different K-Drama series we watched, which led me to create posters for this original Netflix show. Even though the CGI for the demons were kinda sus, I still enjoyed the plot and the acting in general. It gave me a lot of thought on the rise of extremism and the dangers of hive mentality. Definitely a thought-provoking show for sure. For the posters, I decided to create two different types of posters. The first one is more "conventional" in the sense that it features the official picture, the demons and the important characters. In a sense, it feels a bit like a teaser poster. As for the 2nd one, it's more "horror" where it focuses on the demon itself. Which one is your favourite? 20/30 | Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba (Tanjiro Kamado) Poster 🔥 Do you guys watch Demon Slayer? I've been a huge fan of the anime series and also the manga itself. So, it's about time I make some posters for this series! It's definitely an amazing series and I'm excited to see how the anime version expands upon the manga version 🙏 I decided not to stress myself out by including all the characters so I just placed the main character as the focus of this poster. 15/30 | BLESSED-CURSED ☯️ Took me a while to get into the song but it really hits hard when it clicked for me! The inspiration behind the poster was focused on yin and yang, which is basically a Chinese philosophical concept. I love how it fits well with the lyrics of the song and also the title itself, which is "Blessed-Cursed" 🔥 Can't decide on the position of the edit so I decided to create a couple other "variations" so do lemme know which version you prefer! 12/30 | BADMINTON 🏸 It's really interesting how simple conversations can bring about inspiration. Once again, I'm trying out another sports-related poster! This time, it's badminton since badminton is pretty prominent in Malaysia and the sport sorta holds special meaning to my childhood. I remember playing badminton a whole lot with one of my cousins and they were fun times. 10/30 | HANG GLIDING Trying out something different altogether outside of doing artist-related posters. The inspiration for this poster came from a conversation I had with my family. I was reminded of how I would use to build these paper gliders and try to glide with them during my childhood.
