Successful Steps Using Google Adwords [Infographic]
What is AdWords? Google AdWords is Googleâs advertising system in which advertisers bid on certain keywords in order for their clickable ads to appear in Googleâs search results. Setting up campaigns with Google AdWords can be a daunting taskâbut it doesnât have to be.
âI know what you did in your last Marketing campaign, do you?â Before you set up an account, you should know and understand your goals and how AdWords works, but even if youâre already using AdWords and want to get the most out of it, an infographic by WordStream can help. Depending on the competitiveness of the keywords youâre bidding for and the relevance of that keyword to real conversions for your company, AdWords may or may not work for your business. For the most part, weâve found that Google AdWords is extremely effective for many kinds of businesses, as long as they donât waste their money on the wrong keywords, or write weak, low CTR ads (Click-Through Rate ads). The infographic guides you through 11 steps to make sure youâre using Google AdWords to its fullest potential. Start by setting your goals and knowing your audience, the infographic suggests. For instance, if your audience is the home improvement set, you should know that 45% of home improvement searches on mobile devices are women. Then move into your keyword research, budgeting, and account setup. Also, be sure to implement tracking correctly and continually optimize. The last step? Profit! Click to Post
Seven SEO Trends 2017 to Keep Up [Infographic]
Itâs hard enough for marketers to keep up with email trends and shopping trends, but keep up they must. And one of the most fickle channels marketers need to follow is SEO Trends 2017.
Digital Marketing is not anymore like traditional Marketing, now Marketers need a proof of their investment. We wrote about SEO predictions earlier this year, and now weâre highlighting an infographic by web agency KOL Limited with seven more trends to watch. User intention will be a key focus, the agency predicts, meaning that the context - and not just the keywords - of the userâs search will gain importance. More rich snippets in SERPâs, which means nothing else than all of us have surely witnessed that Google has started showing rich snippets in response to our queries. Google shows results generated by the schema markup or structured data markup. According to a research study, the number of search results showing rich snippets has already doubled in the last two years, and this trend will multiply in the coming years. Structured data markup increases the probability of your website to be featured as a rich answer in SERPâs. The infographic also predicts that brands will revisit the use of HTTPS in their URLs, as that extra S can hide valuable referral data. The Nitty-Gritty of Dirty Data [Infographic]
You know from the adjective that itâs probably not good, but what exactly is âdirty dataâ?
âI know what you did in your last Marketing campaign, do you?â Simply put, itâs data that has errors or mistakes, or itâs incomplete in some way. And 30% of marketing and sales data is totally unusable, according to an infographic released by Umbel. Dirty data comes at a cost to companies; but, if youâre not a data scientist, how do you even diagnose that you have a problem? Less risquĂ© than Dirty Dancing, less provocative than Dirty Dianaâdirty data is something you want to keep away from your company. You know the name thatâs itâs probably not good, but what is dirty data? Simply put, itâs data that has errors, mistakes, and is incomplete in some way. And itâs costing you and your company money. Chances are you, or at least someone at your company knows thatâs a problem, but more than 90 percent of companies still arenât keeping their data clean. For marketers and salespeople, thatâs 30 percent of data that becomes totally unusable. That comes through in missing emails, duplicate records, and inaccurate (or fake) audience and fan records. Thatâs a tough pill to swallow for live events like sports and festivals, which already have a tough time knowing fans who arenât in their database. Not keeping your data clean comes at a cost, but if youâre not a data scientist, how do you even diagnose that you have a problem? Luckily, Umbelâs Data Science team has seen (and cleaned) it all. Our data scientists recently came together to look at how you can diagnose dirty data with some tips on clean up across six areas. Six areas Completeness Uniqueness Consistency Timeliness Validity Accuracy In their discussion, they covered why some things are possible to fix after the fact, but also how you can save yourself headaches down the line with a solid data collection strategy from the very beginning. Beyond the donâts, they also touched on: Basic principles of âTidy Dataâ, Common data 'gotchasâ, Best practices for getting the most out of data sets. The infographic outlines how the less tech-savvy among us can diagnose dirty data (and avoid it) across six areas. Get started with cleaning up your data with this infographic. Marketing Stats Marketers Should Know: Europe [Infographic]
While undeniably several forms of traditional marketing exist, includes print, radio, and television, statistics show that digital marketing is taking over and pinch-hit in terms of popularity and success worldwide. Marketing Stats Marketers should know that more than half of the marketers are spending at least estimated a quarter or 25% of their budgets on retargeting.
âI know what you did in your last Marketing campaign, do you?â Letâs step across the pond today to see how our European counterparts are using performance marketing. First, the basics: performance marketing happens when the advertiser pays only if there are measurable results, such as when a click is made by a prospect or a lead form is filled out. It makes sense that retargeting has long been a tool used to increase the effectiveness of performance marketing. And according to an infographic by AdRoll that is based on a report the retargeting and prospecting company produced, other efforts are seeing decent usage as well. For example, the infographic shows that investment in programmatic advertising increased substantially from 2015 to 2016, meaning that the automation of bidding for keywords is helping marketers maximize their performance marketing efforts. More than half of the marketers is spending at least estimated a quarter of their budgets on retargeting 25% in percentage. In fact, by 2021 itâs projected that most marketing leaders will expend 75% of their total marketing budget on digital marketing rather than traditional marketing. What Time of Day You Should Write Marketing Emails to Avoid Mistakes [Infographic]
Bad news for night owls: Marketing emails content drafted at night contains more mistakes than content drafted during the day, according to findings by Grammarly.
âI know what you did in your last Marketing campaign, do you?â The data folks at the grammar-checking tool analyzed over one billion words in emails and uncovered some interesting data about when mistakes are made. We covered some of these insights earlier this year, and Grammarly produced another infographic, which includes more stats from the study. The early bird gets⊠the words right? Thatâs what an analysis of peopleâs writing habits found, according to an infographic by Grammarly. The analysis looked at over one billion words and determined that those written between 4 AM and 8 AM had fewer errors than those written between 10 PM and 2 AM. It also found that early birds, as well as night owls, make about three times more mistakes in social media posts than they make in emails. So when is a good time to write? Blog posts written between 1 PM and 5 PM had the fewest mistakes, the analysis found. People make an average of 13 mistakes per 100 words typed, and spelling mistakes account for more than half of them, the infographic claims. However, the top mistake concerns the use of apostrophes, followed by a few pairs (not âpearsâ) of homophones. Digital Marketing is not anymore like traditional Marketing, now Marketers need a proof of their investment. The report was based on data from an analysis conducted in 2016 of the social media presences of Fortune 500 CEOs on six popular networks: Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+, Instagram, and YouTube. 2016 has been an interesting year for the leading social media channels as they vie for subscribers and infuencers, to grow advertising revenues. Meanwhile, YouTube continued to evolve and grow as a streaming video platform, with potential competitorsâFacebook Live, LinkedIn Infuencer videos, Twitterâs Periscopeâvying to capture users. Despite calls from many social media evangelists for CEOs to increase their use of social media, not much has changed since 2015. LinkedIn remains the frst channel CEOs adopt, followed by Twitter. 60% of Fortune 500 CEOs have no social media presence at all, compared to 61% in 2015. Some 131 CEOs are on one network, 54 are on two networks, 9 are on three networks, 5 are on four networks, and 1 (Expedia CEO Dara Khosrowshahi) is on five networks. LinkedInâs Infuencer program features some of the most active leaders on social media, such as Microsoftâs Satya Nadella, Salesforce.comâs Marc Beniof, and GMâs Mary Barra, publishing thought-provoking LinkedIn Pulse articles. Facebook, the largest social network, and its subsidiary, Instagram, have few F500 CEO users. For the most part, CEOs on Facebook and Instagram reserve these platforms for personal use, or havenât been active for years. Appleâs Tim Cook has the most Twitter followersâ3.9 million. His following has quickly grown to surpass that of Warren Bufett, Marc Beniof, and other F500 Twitterati.  See below a summary of the report in an Infographic. Click to Post

Employee advocacy increases brand recognition and trust.
âI know what you did in your last Marketing campaign, do you?â Many marketers, however, still hear management object to the practice, citing concerns that having employees share similar messages will look spammy, or employees are too busy and donât have time to post on social media. Google Algorithm Update Fred [Infographic]
Google keeps search marketers on their toes with frequent updates to its search algorithms. The latest major update, dubbed âFred,â affected some sites more than others.
Digital Marketing is not anymore like traditional Marketing, now Marketers need a proof of their investment. In this infographic, digital marketing agency 180fusion decodes what that means for marketers. Google Algorithm for search is a hot topic in many ways, it can also be frustrating if you try to understand but can not fulfill the thoughts of Google. For starters, the infographic explains that the update âmostly targets sites with ad-focused content that prioritize revenue above helping the users.â So, sites that use multiple affiliate links, for example, likely registered a downturn in traffic after the update went into effect. It also means that sites that offer valuable content with unobtrusive ads may have had an increase in site traffic, the infographic says. For more details on Fred and who was affected by Google Algorithm update, check out the full infographic.
3 things you can improve your low value affiliate website:
Design your website to be visually appealing for users, not search engine robots. A lot of low value, ad heavy websites are very text heavy, often difficult to navigate and usually follow a typical blog style theme. You can clearly see from the 2 examples above which is designed for humans and which is designed purely to house content and ads.  Check your ad ratio to ensure itâs not over the top! With Google removing the limit on Ad Ratio in 2016, this blurred the line for webmasters and made it difficult to really understand what the best ratio may be. Itâs difficult to definitively answer this question but weâd recommend that you ask certain questions of your site such as âIs it possible to see more than 1 ad when viewing the site/content?â, âIs the user intrusively distracted to view or click on the ad over and above your content?â.  Remove tag pages if youâre running your site like a blog. Webmasters tend to forget about tag pages and when they do these still tend to get indexed in Google and are offering little to no value at all. There has been some discussions suggesting that removing these tag pages as helped improver and even fully recover traffic since this update.

With the continuing growth of the Internet of Things (Internet-connected devices all around us), voice search has helped the search function move off the computer and mobile screen.
âI know what you did in your last Marketing campaign, do you?â Microsoft and the team at Bing have put together an infographic illustrating their predictions for the future of search. They argue that natural language processing, machine learning, and artificial intelligence will help search become more of each of the following 3Ps: Personal: Consumers expect personalized experiences, and 75% of customers get frustrated when content that is not relevant to their search comes up. The good news is that voice search is becoming increasingly accurate with an all-time low error rate of 5.9%, this sounds promising for the future of search. Pervasive: A whopping 50 billion Internet-connected devices are expected to be in use by 2020, and consumers will want ways to interact and search seamlessly. Predictive: Companies will increasingly rely on search data to help them predict patterns and behaviors in their business. Search is literally breaking out of the box. Once a function that used to be limited to a text box on a specific site has slowly been integrated into more and more of the technologies, devices, and apps we use every day, from phones to gaming consoles. The futuristic spectrum of search is changing the marketing industry in some abrupt and dramatic ways we never thought would be possible. Hence, how it became a major facet of every marketing plan, that every brand administrating bodies wishes they had a crystal ball to tell them its fate. This is why leading experts in search engine optimization for businesses comes to play a very important role and is consistently highly in demand. Marketing isnât just about the 4Ps anymore: Price, Product, Promotion, and Placement alone. We also might see the potential of the rise digital assistance in searches. As SEO professionals are now closely staring down the barrel of a very long smoking gun, and that gun is held by Alexa, Siri, Cortana and Googleâs as yet unnamed assistant persona. Everything in the digital world is shockingly paced.  And as of now, we focus on the cards being visible on the table by checking the infographic bellow., âThe future of searchâ. Click to Post
