a dimly glowing light bulb buzzed dully overhead, melding poorly with the jukebox’s current dreary country ballad. the single glass window was darkened by a late night sky, giving those inside the bar a view of the mostly empty parking lot, save for the occasional stray car, harley, or big rig pulling in for a late night drink. it was nearly a ghost town inside, more tables and stools remaining empty than occupied as carcosa moved her eyes around the room.
one form in particular caught her gaze: a familiar regular that had spent more time with their thoughts occupied by something unseen than the laminated menu before them. “you’ve been awfully quiet tonight.” the bartender chimed. “haven’t even ordered a drink yet.“ her hip lightly rested against the opposite side of the bar, leaning forward and placing her chin in the palm of her hand. “what’s on your mind?”
Minjoon hadn’t realized he’d just been staring blankly at the menu before him until the bartender spoke to him. a half hearted smile formed on his lips as he pushed the menu aside and shrugged his shoulders. “What isn’t really? I feel like I’ve once again accepted too many projects than I can handle again.” Just thinking about work started to stress him out once again. “By chance do you have watermelon vodka? My friend keeps insisting I try it.”

lol hi. this is late AF but better late than never right?
So first thing’s first:
HELLO! I’m Rose, I use ey/em pronouns, and I’m from the PST area. Though my sleep schedule is kind of whack due to working in a bakery. So I’m usually on during late late hours of the night or early AF hours of the day.
This is my child Chae Minjoon / Minjoon “Oliver” Chae. Minjoon’s one of my (very few) children without the whole tragic angsty backstory. I thought I’d ease back into roleplaying with one of my characters that’s easiest to get muse for before I throw in all my slightly problematic ones into the mix here.

He’s been modeling since he was a small child as his aunt owns a really well known fashion company and begged his parents to let her use him as a model as she had no children of her own and loved to spoil Minjoon.
his aunt gave him his english name. a name he only uses when at work
took a few years off from modeling, but started his career in acting at 15 years old
didn’t mean to become an actor. was only at the audition place to support his friend. but of course he was recognized and was asked to audition. he and his friend both landed minor roles. and it took off from there.
met two people in the acting industry who turned into his best friends. they help keep him grounded and remind him he doesn’t have to be perfect and that he’s a human, not the public’s doll. (connections?)
while growing up, he realized half his friends were fake friends just using him for his rising fame. so he cut them off and only kept a small group of four that proved to actually care for him and his well being. (more connections maybe? one of the four would be the one he went to support at the audition)
he’s one of those shy at first, loud goofball after type of people
has that semi-destructive trait(?) that cares and looks after others before taking care of himself
honestly wanted to be a musician, but doesn’t believe he’d do well in the music industry (someone push him to do it. then BAM triple threat)
started modeling again at 21. priorities acting first, unless the modeling gig is straight from his aunt/ his aunt’s company

honestly he’s just pretty chill?? though once you make his bad side it’s hard to come back from that...yikes
doesn’t have a huge ego about being an actor/model. in fact he forgets he’s famous half the time
