[[Creeping over FFVI tag on tumblr I found someone analyzing the characters and now I am raging here.

1- More than one character let we clearly know everything Edgar did was to set Sabin free. At the end of the game, on the credits, the brothers let we know this. Sabin telling Edgar he now was strong enough to protect him and Figaro's people and all.

2-Heck, Edgar wanted to be king because Sabin was lazy or whatever? By the Maker! Sabin was the guy who held an entire mansion for five minutes just to save a child, he would be a great king with his brother, it was what their father wanted, to both of them to rule together. But BOTH brothers never wanted it, never wanted to be king, they just wished for the freedom to follow their hearts. And Edgar never thought he would be a great king or Sabin a poor one, no. He only wanted his brother to be free because he knew one of them would have to be left behind to take care of Figaro as their father wanted.

3-And about him pretending to be Geard... well, it was clearly enough that he did this to not compromise his disguise and to not put in danger his brother and his friend. How could someone think that he did this on purpose to get them to fight in his place? HOW?

I really dislike it when people praise canon RPers on this blog. I get that they’re just trying to be nice, but then people who role-play the same character feel bad about their own role-playing style, and think that they can never be as good because people never say anything about them.

ooc; Then just say something good about yourself. There’s no such thing as “the best” and no one is “better.” Someone just happened to have friends that wanted to publicly praise them, is all. And even though they may never post it to a confessions blog, I’m sure your roleplay partners think you’re wonderful. Why would they even RP with you if they didn’t?

Sorry, I just don’t like it when people take compliments directed at others and use it to deprecate themselves. Seriously, it just makes that person that was rewarded feel bad… and of course, it does no good for you either!

ooc; That’s all true, but confessions blogs have all started turning into “this is who I think is best” blogs. If you want to submit a confession about a specific RPer, there are ways to word it so that it sounds more like something other people can relate to. Personally, I don’t give a damn if people sumbit confessions praising me or not, and actually, I’d rather they just come tell me directly, because that’s just how I am, but it does get a tad annoying when I feel like scrolling through confessions to kill time and all I can do is think, “Don’t know that person…don’t know that person…”

ooc - I think we all agree that these confessions only exist to make people feel good, to let some friends know how much you like then and all. Not to make someone sad because he didn't receive one? xD Is just that when someone says "this is the best xxxx" there always will be someone thinking if so, they're the worst. And they shouldn't do it becuse isn't the true. Someone will always love apples while other will ove oranges (don't mind my fruit messages). It would probably be better if in these confessions people would say "I like this blog because..." and not "they're the best!", but another rps also shouldn't feel bad for it. RP is just to have fun, meet amazing people like you two, and not to be a star. Well... is what I think at least.

OOC - Why should I be sad because no one sent a confession about me, for example? And they probably never will because they know this doesn't matter too much for me, they know I just want to have fun rping with one of my favorite characters of all. Of course everyone would be happy to receives one, me too, I just think you shouldn't be sad to not receive either! I think no one should take to heart that they didn't receive a confession, and you shouldn't ever take a compliment to another rp as a offense to you. I mean, seriously, someone just wanted to praise a friend, so why would you take it as a direct offense to you? This doesn't make sense at all. Do you imagine if for any apple someone say it was delicious, another apple would commite suicide (??? don't judge me) falling while still green from the three? We would totally have a lack of apples.

Terra’d forgotten that they weren’t alone, which was out of character for her. She was usually acutely aware of everyone in her immediate vicinity, something she picked up during her time in the Magitek Facility. Yet somehow, Edgar had managed to distract her so. When the sound of their cheers reminded her of their presence, she felt immediately self conscious, though she cared less about their witnessing what had just transpired and more about simply having all of their eyes on her.

She pressed her face into Edgar’s chest, wishing to disappear completely inside his cloak, until he told them to get back to their duty. Only when she was sure the men’s attention had turned elsewhere did she look up, Edgar’s face little more than shadows in the moonlight and the light of the lanturns the men used to light their work.

“You should go inside if you’re cold,” she said, though she curled her fingers into the fabric of his coat. “You won’t be very useful if you’re lying in bed with a cold.”

"I will not catch a cold so easily!" - he said almost laughing, breathing in her hair and feeling so blessed to have her so close, Terra was so small, fitting perfectly between his arms, tucked under his chin - "Did you know I always have been the healthier twin? I am too busy to lay down on a bad for days."

Edgar didn't know what all that meant, he had no idea if she had, in fact, understood what he told her, how he felt - and yet he felt relief, yet he had a fairy caught in his arms under a sky bursting with fireworks and could always tell her again until she understand everything. No, it wasn't just relief, no. It was a myriad of feelings he couldn't discern, butterflies, fireflies and Goddess know what in his stomach. Worst, the faerie queen looked for him when she had trouble, wasn't it? Hiding herself under his cloack, her nose against his chest. Yes, he was going to die one of these days.

But not today, not yet.

"But we really should return. The show is ending and the men just have to take everything back before all our citizens come here to scold us about the sound. What do you think?"
