* right , we gonna discuss a big ass headcanon that basically explains why ginny and harry end up in a romantic relationship. i have talked about it for an eternity but yall know how much i love ruining my own character init. BASICALLY ! harry traveled so far to destroy all parts of tom’s soul and missed the one that was right in front of him – ginny. the bond created during the diary incident was broken when harry stabbed the diary but it was never reversed and ginny was never cleansed of the darkness that now buried itself in her chest , so she had to live on with tom still whispering to her when it was too quiet and empty for once. basically she kept some of his traits and gifts , like the fable for manipulation or the ability to talk to snakes. he was no longer the obvious actions of evil but the natural violence flowing through her , settled in her fists and lungs like an illness. he never came to the front but rather stayed in the back and yet still made it obvious that he would never leave her. RIGHT , so a few years down the road and harry starts feeling more and more attracted to ginny and even describes it as a previously unknown urge ( too lazy to look for my books to quote it but damn harry chill ) that felt far beyond the usual butterflies in ones stomach. it was the two parts of one soul trying to get back together to regain strength right before tom was finally ripped apart completely and almost every part of his soul was actively killed by someone. except that little unconscious part that now resides in ginny weasleys chest , waiting to resurface.
