so i haven’t been very active for the past two weeks (or active at all 😳) but i think i’m back now? I’ve been reading a biography on Leonardo da Vinci and my god, i think he’s my new hero. I’m kind of overlooking the misogyny and pedophilia and just focusing on how much of a genius he was. please don’t come at me 😭✋ i just love how he basically lead the renaissance my guys.

i’ve been focusing on self care a lot recently and some of the things that have worked best for me are bubble baths, books, journaling, candles, face masks, and comfy clothes. this is a sign to focus on yourself for the next couple of days because you are important and you deserve to give yourself the attention you’ve been lacking 💛

i’ve been in florida for a few days now and i visited a local spirituality shop to pick up some more crystals. i got jade, yellow jasper, and tigers eye (pictured in that order). i like them and it’s also cool to be able to go out to the beach and meditate. if you haven’t tried that i suggest it. i’m proud of myself because i’ve been keeping up with my blog, and my meditation and journaling while i’ve been on vacation 😙✌️

i feel as though my art history course focuses mainly on european artists and ideas. i noticed a lack of representation for the numerous other cultures on our beautiful planet. this caught my intrigue and i followed up on these thoughts by researching african artists (mainly painters) in my own time. there’s been so much history lost due to colonization that many african paintings were taken and their history was never recorded properly. it breaks my heart to hear about this so i decided that i’m going to use my blog as a platform to inform you guys about art from other cultures as well ❤️🥰

i’m moving to florida 🥳 and i’m in the process of selling all the furniture from my bedroom. i decided to buy everything new when i get there so that the move will be easier because it is so far away from where i currently live. i decided i want to have my new room academia themed 🥰 i’m so excited and i’m embracing this change with good vibes 😁❤️
