Kalama peered up at the peculiar perched boy incredulously. âNo, that sounds awful!â She snapped, her voice colored by irritation and disbelief. She could feel herself growing angry and a fiery heat began to flicker in her chest. âIâm readng, something Iâm sure youâve never heard of, itâs an assaignment and I really need to finish.â The dark haired girl spoke slowly, hoping the nuisance would take the hint and leave.Â
âAwful?â Castor placed a hand over his heart, leaning back in mock hurt. His tone was snide, revealing just what he was trying to convey. âI wouldnât say awful. In fact, I would say the exact opposite. Itâs quite lucky of you to have me staying here instead of walking right past you. I donât pay much attention to the people around here. Theyâre all so boring.â He stated matter-of-factly. âReading is for nerds, and people that canât use magic. Whatâs the assignment? Maybe I can help.â
