Finally... After a long time... The Korean BBQ Set Mod is out 😋♨️🔥
This time I'm going to do something different. As of now, this set is in early access. But I know a lot of people is curious about it. So I'll show everything on this post, and the download option will be in another link.
I'll talk about the download options at the end of the post :)

ABOUT THIS SET:
It's Base Game compatible.
There are 182 recipes available.
Build/Buy: 118 items.
Translation: All recipes and custom interactions are translated into the 18 languages available in The Sims 4.

RECIPES AVAILABLE (Total of 182):
The recipes are categorized as: Grilled food, Side Dishes, Drinks, Alcoholic Beverage, Dessert & Chips.
If the food is meant to be hot, it will have a steam effect until it's "half-eaten." Cold foods won't have that effect.
Lactose-intorelant Sims and Vegetarian Sims won’t autonomosly order food they can’t eat (lactose/meat). But if your Sim have any of these traits, check the food description before purchasing it for them.
GRILLED FOOD (8 Recipes):
Chadolbaegi, Grilled Vegetables, Galbi, Gopchang, LA Galbi, Makchang, Moksal, Samgyeopsal.
NOTE: Only Young Adults, Adults and Elders will be able to drink or purchase the alcoholic beverages.
UTENSILS AND EATING:
Your Sim will use a custom Korean utensil to eat, eat a food piece, or eat it in a lettuce wrap (ssam).

ORDERING DEVICES/BAR:
You can order food and drinks from: the bar, the grill, the table screen, the kiosk, the fridge, and the water bottle. Search for “korean restaurant ordering” and they will show up in buy mode.
As said above, the recipes are categorized as: Grilled Food, Side Dishes, Desserts, Drinks, Alcoholic Beverage, Snacks. When the purchase menu appears you’ll also be able filter the recipes. They’re tagged as vegetarian, lactose-free, seafood, bottle, glass etc.
1- Grill, Table screen, Fridge: Order food from it and the dish will directly go to your inventory.
2- Kiosk: It works just like a vending machine. The food will never get stuck in it though. Since it wouldn’t make sense I removed this feature. The dish will go to your inventory.
3- Stainsless steel water bottle: You can order a glass of water from it. It’ll also go to your inventory. And it's free :)
4- Bar: It works the same way as the ones in game, but only the food and drinks from the set will be available.
Notes:
The fridgedoes not work as a normal fridge (it’s just for deco and order food). Otherwise Sims would open it all the time to grab other stuff and break the immersion of the set.
I removed the option that makes the bartender practice drinks autonomously (throw bottles up in the air etc.)
The bartender sometimes stay near the bar or on the wrong side instead of being “where they should be”. Just click on them and order your food/drink anyway. They’ll serve it for your Sim. It’s an issue with custom bars.

DECORATIVE AND FUNCTIONAL ITEMS:
This set comes with more than 100 decorative and functional items. There are different table and chairs, food ordering devices, lights, signs, stickers, room divider, decoration etc., in many styles, so you can create your korean restaurant the way you want. From an old/traditional hanok restaurant to a modern one, or even a “pocha”.
Some of the items:
INTERACTIVE ITEMS:
♨️ GRILL:
When you click on the grill two options will show up: "Food & Drinks" and "Customize Grill".
"Food & Drinks": the menu where you'll be able to order food and drinks.
There are 3 options in "Customize Grill": "Appearance", "Effects" & "Default State".
1- Appearance: you will be able to choose from 5 difference "appearances" for the grill (seen in the image above): Empty Grill, Uncooked Meat, Grilled Meat, Vegetables, Jeongol (Hot Pot).
2- Effects: you will be able to choose and play many different effects for the grill. Some have both visual and sound effect, and others just visual: "Grilling (Sound)", "Grilling (no sound)", "Steam - Small (no sound)", "Steam - Medium (no sound)", "Gas on and Steam (sound)", "Hot Pot boiling (sound)", "Soup cooking (sound)", "Soup cooking (no sound)", and also and option to turn off the effects.
3- Default State: Set the grill to its default state all at once, empty and without effects.
🐟 SEAFOOD AQUARIUM:
Some Korean restaurants have a "seafood aquarium" outside, so I created this one.
By default it plays two effects together: Water bubbles & fish swimming. The problem is that the water bubbles effect produces sound. So if it annoys you, you can easily change it by clicking on the aquarium. There are two options available: "Bubbles" (fish and water/ sound) and "No Water Bubbles" (just the fish/ no sound).
📦🤞 BEER CRATE & KPOP WALL FRAMES:
There are some decorative beer crates (brand & no brand, full & empty). They are stackable, and the one that's upside down have more slots to place deco.
Kpop Wall Frames: a long time ago I asked which K-Pop groups you like and I made a really big picture with all the autographs from the groups you mentioned. There's also a smaller one with some groups pictures and autographs, to pretsend the idols had visited the restaurant :) A custom text will show up when your sim view them.
Shoes removal sign: If you place it on the wall, by the default your sims will remove their shoes when entering the room. It works just like the one from the game.
🟥 TABLES & CHAIRS:
There are different styles of tables and chairs/seatings (& more swatches).
All tables have a "normal" version and a version with a hole in the middle for you to place the grill.
There are also 2 plastic table styles (round and squared) with a whole in the middle. You can match the umbrella with it if you want.

Download the zip file, extract it and put on your Mod file as usual.
Avoid putting it too many folders deep, or it may not work since there are many custom interactions and translation files.
Download also: Korean Snacks Vending Machine & “Korean Drinks Vending Machine” mods, so all recipes will show up properly.
Translations: If you find any mistakes and want to correct me, feel free to do so. If you want to provide new translations also feel free to do so.

Hi! I love your work so much! I have always wanted to make custom books, and I saw you had a custom manga mod. I have always wanted to create classic children's books for in-game use. I was wondering how you were able to separate the pages in Blender? I was looking at the Seasons book mesh, and I must admit, I am in need of some help :')
Hello ^^ Oh, nice :) I'm glad you like my CC :)
In the UV map, the pages are all stacked on top of each other, right?
I recorded a short video on how to separate them here.
Don't mind the Blender version. It's the old 2.79, but I really like it XD
Basically in the UV editing window you choose "UV Selection Mode : Island".
There are 4 "rectangles" stacked. Each one is a page of the book, and in this mode you'll be able to move them properly (since it'll let you select the full page together).
Just rearrange them in the UV map and you'll have the four separate pages to edit.
The only "problem" is that it's not possible to know the pages order. Create your texture and then see in game if it'll show up the way you want. Watch your Sim flipping the pages while reading. Then change your texture if needed.
Another tip: Go to Warehouse > Object Catalog.
Find "Tags". In there you'll probably see a tag that starts with "Genre_Book_". Click on it and you'll see a huge list of tags.
You'll be able to change the book tag/genre if you want.
For example, you can use the "Genre_Book_Childrens".
I was asked to make an override of the animated sign (City Living) for BTS's comeback Arirang. So here it is :)
Two posters of OT7+ solo pictures of the comeback will display randomly :)

Hi there! I know this doesn't majorly count as an ask (but it kind of does). I was wondering if you're able to talk through how you made those animated billboards? I'm currently trying to do it myself as part of a custom content set I made for San Myshuno (the billboard of Penny Pizzazz in the Fashion District/Chic Street area) and I'd love some advice! If that's possible, that'd be incredible and you'd of course get credit for the help :) if not that's absolutely fine! Thanks!

If you're using EA's billboard mesh:
1- On Sims 4 Studio, choose "Create 3D Mesh". Then search for "billboard". Pick the one you want. Next > Name it > Save package.
Export the meshes and textures to use later.
If you're using your own mesh, start from here:
2- On Sims 4 Studio, choose "Create 3D Mesh". Then you need to find "signdynamic" and clone it. Next > Name it > Save package.
3- Now export the dynamic sign mesh. Open it on Blender. You'll see that there's mesh 0, 1 and 2.
s4studio_mesh_0 is for the shadow texture.
s4studio_mesh_1 is the part of object that won't change (static).
s4studio_mesh_2 is the part of the mesh of the texture that will change (animate). So basically, the billboard image/poster.
4- When you open the EA billboard mesh on Blender, you'll notice that there's just s4studio_mesh_0.
What you need to do is to "match" it to the dynamic sign's number of meshes.
Which means the billboard blend file needs to have "s4studio_mesh_" 0, 1 and 2.
5- A) Select "s4studio_mesh_0" and go to edit mode. Select the "image/poster area". Press P.
B) Now you have "s4studio_mesh_0" and "s4studio_mesh_0.001".
6- Rename "s4studio_mesh_0" to "s4studio_mesh_1". Change its cut number from 0 to 1 (it's the billboard frame).
Then to rename "s4studio_mesh_0.001" to "s4studio_mesh_2". Change its cutting number from 0 to 2 (it's the billboard poster).
7- Now add a plane and unwrap it (cause it needs a texture file). Rename it to "s4studio_mesh_0" and change its cut number to 0.
In edit mode (plane mesh) press "S" then 0, so it'll scale it to 0 and "disappear".
Now you have the 3 meshes you need.
8- In Sims 4 Studio, go back to the package file of the dynamic sign you cloned. Replace the mesh for the one you just created. It'll look like something like this:
Now just replace the meshes/shadows and texture files.
A) The Diffuse images I highlighted as yellow are the textures for the billboard images (that will keep changing/animated).
B) The last Diffuse image is for the part that won't "move" (the billboard frame).
C) Those files called "material_lighttex" light up the texture.
The first one lights up the "poster", and the second one lights up the frame part. It'll follow the UV map.
Where you want to light up, keep "gray". The lighter, the more it lights up. Where you don't want to light up, keep it black.
For example:
If you want the poster to light up, in the "material_lighttex" upload an image with a gray color exactly in the same place where the poster image is in its texture.
That's basically it. All you need to do is replace the meshes and textures as you want :)

🌸 Korean Lamyeon Packages
This mod is very old and I noticed it was glitching. So I updated it for you.
If you have it in you Mods folder, search for "channel4sims - korean lamyeon packages" and "channel4sims - korean lamyeon packages laying" package files and delete them. Then download the updated one :)
If you have never downloaded it (and want to): just download it normally and place it in you Mods folder :)

first of all HUGE thank you to the amazing @channel4sims-cc for generously helping me make the incense cute and BGC!! check out their amazing bgc incense burners and all their stuff here :))
second, the set! we've got 9 objects total - everything has a bunch of swatches, all are low-poly (under 500k) and base game compatible. i hand-made all the meshes and hand-painted all the textures, so a lot of love and energy went into making this set!
