The Ramblin' Raft Race on the Chattahoochee River was a Memorial Day weekend tradition that started in 1969 and ended in 1980. North Atlanta. It ended because people were drinking too much and drowning. Also, they would go up into people's yards that lived on the river and pee in their yards.
