I didn't get my college AU fic done in time to post today like I wanted (can't believe my actual college life interrupted my college AU writing), but I wanted to share some of my favorite ideas from the wider universe of the fic.
-Scott is a fashion merchandising major who inherited a house he now lives in with Shelby, Pyro, and Owen.
-Pyro used to live with Apo, and now they're in a custody fight over Truffle (Who is either a dog or a guinea pig, whichever is funnier)
-Shelby is a journalism student who runs a blog about cryptid hunting
-Apo has a girlfriend (Cherri) who goes to a different school. She's constantly talking about transferring to be closer to her, but never does.
-Martyn is a performance arts major, but lies and tells everyone he's a business major
-Avid is a chemistry major who's taking forever to graduate because he keeps taking unrelated classes
The microsoft authentication issue sucks because no new Vampires episode this week, but it has given me more time to write fanfiction before it stresses me out in new ways. I should use that time to continue working on my Shelby & Avid wip (they pass notes and Shelby teaches Avid about fanfics. It's v v cute) but the college AU idea gave me inspo for a fic where Avid is CONVINCED this guy in his class (Scott) is a vampire.
(Apo is a genius, and I will also have to write something about her in this AU)

"Scott hasn't actually attacked anyone as far as I know" from Cleo kills me. Like. We as an audience know Scott very much was responsible for attacking Shelby and Pyro unprovoked, but the townsfolk don't, so he keeps getting away with this "I haven't hurt anyone :(" story.
I'm making it my mission to supply this fandom with fics of underexplored character dynamics. My qualifications are that I'm caught up with 9 perspectives with intentions to watch them all, and have a burning desire to play in this sandbox. The rarepair shippers deserve content, damnit. I'm about 800 words into one fic with a few other ideas bouncing around. This is my humble plea for more ideas, platonic or romantic.
Vampires SMP is about queerphobia except it’s about sexual assault, and it’s really about how paranoia and strike-first mentalities tear communities apart, but it’s about disability, except it’s about imperfect victimhood. However, most of all it is about Apo Apokuna having the worst month of their life. She’s technically at work right now. You must remember this.
Exactly one person asked (shoutout @mwithamask) so here's the first draft of the Vampires SMP Polycule chart (for context I did this for Double Life SMP and Empires SMP). I know it's missing stuff and I need to watch a few more POVs but feel free to give suggestions in the meantime!

Butch and Annabelle as Westley and Buttercup, "As you wish" vs "Let's rob a bank," Henry as Humperdink, the dark Cinderella themes in NGAAG vs The Princess Bride being a partial satire of the fairy tale genre.

Writing a yearning Amanda fic so heavily based on my own experiences I'm debating how much I need to change, in case of the extremely unlikely scenario that someone I know irl finds it. Also I need friends in this fandom to tell me if I'm projecting too close to the sun or if my characterization actually makes sense.
