OMG IT’S BEEN ALMOST 120 DAYS SONCE I LAST POSTED⁉️

Ahhhhhh, guys I’m soo sorry I’ve been gonnee for like 3 months!

Soo much stuff has been happening, but on the bright side I got my new I-pad today! (I’ll explain what happened to the old one and why I haven’t posted in like six years in a later post, but I don’t want to be all doom and gloom rn)

Sooo take scribbles I made to celebrate!🎉

Also I’ll try to post more regularly now, but with school and extracurriculars it might be a little irregular.

Idk why I drew Ain, I felt like it and he’s a little goofball.🙃

Sooo I just logged back onto the app a few hours ago and got the results of the survey……..

I was extremely nervous when I first posted the survey, because I don’t really have much of a presence here yet and was still figuring out how the app actually worked. It is extremely heartening to see that people actually like my art and would look at something that came from my imagination.

ALSO I MIIIIGHT’VE LIED.

I have been working on this AU for quite sometime now…and would’ve been absolutely crushed if nobody cared!😁😁😁 Fun fact! I couldn’t bring myself to open the app for almost 3 days because of how scared I was!

I really am lucky to be in a fandom with such sweet people!

…Now I actually have to follow through with it and create the AU….🙂‍↕️

Wish me luck guys because I only have a concept down! I might be in the mountains for much longer now…

So, really quick question, is anyone here interested in seeing a, POTENTIAL, VERY STILL IN ITS INFANCY, Power Battle Watch Car AU? I have nothing to show for it right now, but I had the idea… and I don’t know if I should expand upon it. It would definitely feature Kai, and Schmidt, (…Braking..I dunno) , maybe with some other characters, (I am open to suggestions, if you want to comment a character, or private message me, I don’t care how you do it.🤷) But I was just wondering if there was an audience for it? Also please be honest! It’s totally fine if you don’t care for AU’s or fan creations or stuff related to that. Like I said, it’s an idea and I haven’t put much work into it, so it’s okay if it doesn’t come to fruition.

I was gonna draw more child Kai,…but..um.. he.. is kinda just depressed the entire episode….

There are less than 5 scenes where he is smiling the ENTIRE EPISODE..Which is really saaad because like what did he do? Our little baby edge lord was just trying to gain his father’s approval.😭

So I’m just going to drop the 4 scenes I did draw and call it a post!

The top two drawings on the right, on the sticky notes, are from my sister and I’m not cropping those out.

Also I was gonna draw some other characters from the show, but was like, naw nobody wants to see that.

So I’m back into to the mountains…again…to study..

I have been off in the mountains studying for,…like…a long time. (JK, it’s been like a week.)

So here is child Kai.

AND GUYS, THE. THINGS. I DO. FOR. THIS. MAN. I had to go frame by frame through the entire Black Emperor episode, JUST to get some decent reference material. Even Pinterest, the holy grail for photos from obscure shows, was lacking D:

Also a moment of silence for this boy’s completely normal looking face with a proportionate forehead and EARS. Before puberty came and snatched all that away.

(Lowkey the entire time I have been drawing Kai, I kinda forgot he had ears…..)

Also? I find it kinda funny that he’s the only character with a canon child model in the show? I mean correct me if I’m wrong but aside from him none of the other non-child main characters have child models? Like, yeah guys, we gotta show how traumatized this guy is by giving him an unpleasant childhood flashback 🤪But none of the other characters though ..because..they’re normal .

Soooo, I was working on this drawing at 2 am and it shows.

I usually try to draw Kai as close as possible to the show’s original style, but. apparently. I. JUST. GAVE. UP? And now he’s sort of semi realistic…for some reason….?

drawing at 2 am messes with you, I swear. Not like I’m going to stop doing it though.

Also is it just me or,

Does he look more feminine…..? Like I’ve only drawn him a few times recently but.. somethin’ looks off. People said that the mascara was too thicc but like…..I ain’t removing that, I like that, and obviously he does too, or he wouldn’t be wearing it lol, so let my man wear his mascara. Or I could just be tripping and he looks fine… I don’t think so though…

I need to go into the mountains again and study his facial construction, because obviously something ain’t right.

RARE DOUBLE POST ALERT!

Well technically it’s past 12 am when I’m posting this, BUT THE DAY CHANGES WHEN I GO TO SLEEP AND WAKE UP AGAIN!

Anyway, according to my previous art teacher, the fastest way to get burnt out at art is just to study and study and study without drawing what you actually want to draw. She said, “it is the easiest way to lose sight of your goal and why you started your art journey in the first place.” So, at the beginning of each art class she would let us free draw whatever we wanted. Aaaand since I have been studying and studying without end for a few days now, I thought I would give that piece of advice a try.

So here’s a fun doodle I did today of a character from an obscure Korean animated kid’s show, that I feel like most of the population probably doesn’t know the existence of, and that I just happen to rewatch obsessively. I present…the (kinda main antagonist of POWER BATTLE WATCH CAR)…KAI.

And for those of you that do recognize him…….hope I didn’t mess him up too much 🙃.

Also, he will always be catching strays from me because of the lack of FRONT VEIW SHOTS OF HIM THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE SHOW. Like even on Pinterest, the god of finding random angle shots of characters, his head is always tilted down to fit his FOREHEAD IN THE FRAME. He is soooo lucky to have that absolute mane of hair covering it, or he would probably be the goofiest character in the show. Like how is it, that a simple front view shot of you, has to be zoomed out , AND THEN YOUR HEAD HAS TO TILIT DOWNWARDS TO HAVE YOUR WHOLE HEAD IN THE SHOT, LIKE SIRRR?? Pls save some frame (and forehead) for the rest of us🙏🙏. It will never make me think he’s ugly or anything but I will never let that fact rest because it makes him all sorts of levels of unholy to draw.

I WILL FINISH THIS SKETCH TOMORROW-actually maybe make that Wednesday-AND RENDER OUT THE MESS I MADE OF HIS HAIR I BEG FOR YOUR PATIENCE.

Look at all the skullduggery I engaged in today!

All of these took me like 5 hours and they look so wEiRd.

I also decided to make these my test subjects for some shading practice!…It did not end well for them.

Also ignore the ugly weird perspective one on the bottom it was an experiment and it failed.
