lowkey tweaking out atm bc i feel like everywhere i see there are Christians calling those who are LGBTQ+ sins. they provide verses from the bible and ive looked them up and read them so many times and every time i do they seem more real and actually calling me a sin. i need a real answer but even if the answer is yes that i am a sin, i donât want to change who i am. i literally cant change who i am. but i want Gods love and approval and if i am gay will He see it as a sin? I can be a devoted Christian, i want to be. But i wonât ever be able to shake the thought that i am a sin to God. Is being wlw/lgbtq+ a sin? someone please tell me.

I hear you, and I know this is a really painful and deeply personal struggle. First, let me say this clearly: You are not a sin. You are a person, made in the image of God, fully loved by Him. Many Christians interpret the Bible in different ways when it comes to LGBTQ+ identity. Some believe that same-sex relationships are a sin, while others believe that the Bibleâs messages about love, faith, and justice mean that LGBTQ+ people are fully accepted by God. Itâs important to study scripture for yourself, pray, and seek Godâs guidance rather than just accepting what others say.
There are a few passages that people often point to (like Leviticus 18:22 or Romans 1:26-27), but the Bible does not talk about modern LGBTQ+ identities the way we understand them today. The historical and cultural context mattersâmany scholars argue that these verses refer to exploitative or idolatrous practices, not loving relationships. At the same time, the core of Christianity isnât about rulesâitâs about a relationship with God through Jesus. Jesus never spoke about homosexuality, but He did speak a lot about love, mercy, and grace. He spent His time with the outcasts, the rejected, and those whom religious leaders condemned.
I am a member of the LGBTQ+ community and I can absolutely testify that you wonât feel or be any different than any other member of faith. God made YOU how YOU are for a reason and no person can dignify you for what your sexual orientation is. They always forget biblical teachings is different from modern day worship. They spoke Hebrew around BC and AC in the depths of Bethlehem, Nazareth, Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, Zeboiim, Zoar, and etc.
These translations donât dictate who you should be. You are amazing how you are babes.
I love youđđ€
