… is the the only pun I could come up with that wasn't wildly inappropriate :D
And yes; it is a gigantic, rocket-powered fist on the rotor-disc torso from a little while back.
All it needs is some leg warmers, a tactical snood, and some better dentation and it will become a perfect creature.
:D ahaha, the head's totally too large but it amuses me, so it will continue to exist until I come back and fix this later with a new illustration.
(based on my usual follow-up, that will be somewhere between five years and never).
It's based on [the one at the bottom of the post], a sketch I did a little while back (this year). I prefer this one, especially the tanky body juxtaposed with the pointy feet.
I've not done a finished version of this one as I've been working on it (unsuccessfully) for a different idea.
Removing your head and neck, and then replacing them with a gigantic armoured radome, will free you of those pesky critical hits.
Not sure why I put a clavicle mounted sensor array in there given that my mechs, by-and-large, never seem to have eyes.
Just playing around with fun ideas at the moment, I guess.

The parts -are- floating, which makes an already questionable design well beyond the bounds of good reason.
Also; is this Lisa-fu or Bart-jutsu? It's been too long since I've seen that episode to remember.
Seemed like a wizard-mech was a good candidate for some iteration on the arm-cloak idea from one of my mechatober mechs.
The colours are also a vague reference, as I was thinking about something in particular when I was choosing the scheme.
Not sure why I put vents on my mechs; my head-cannon on how they're powered and operate has no call for them. I guess it's a vestigial design cue.
But, then again, why do I put tongues and teeth on half of them? Like that last mech; three tongues and not a single eyeball to lick with them? Why even have a tongue!? :D In all seriousness, perhaps with a bit more work, vents could become a sculptural/aesthetic element too; as if the mech's designer put them on cause mechs of a bygone era had them. I oogled it: Skeuomorphism. Knew there would be a fancy word for it, but I didn't know it would sound cool.
Lots of teeth, big hands, big tongues, tiny little feet. Everything a well-balanced robot needs. Thighs are somewhat thundery too.
Sticking with racing-themed mechs, here's a repost of the first Rally-bot design I did.
It's basically a skating mech with jet engines for fists, that naruto-runs.
I like the idea, not so much the execution, so it's one I'll return to at another point.

In retrospect, the head is hillariously tiny. I can live with it but, if I were to do it again, I'd perhaps make it a little bigger.
