Prestonâs sword clashed onto his squireâs sword, who nearly whimpered under the force. He brought the Valyrian sword down again as a smirk settled on his lips. âAnd you plan to be a knight of the Argoâs? I would never allow it,â he taunted. The squireâs brow was speckled with sweat, and he looked relieved when Evaâs voice came as a saving grace. âOh you intend to teach me how to rid of my frustrations?â His tone dripped with sarcasm. ( His expression was dark, but his confusion lurked underneath it. )Â
His attention returned to his victim, âShe canât and wonât save you. Weâre Argos. We donât survive by helping each other.â Preston knocked the squireâs sword from his hand, and he didnât bat an eyelash when the boy cried out and held his injured hand, helplessly looking up at him.Â
His voice was at a roar now, âSurviving on your OWN is helping your people.â He shoved the boy, as he kicked the dropped sword towards him. âGet. Out. Of. My. Sight,â he articulated every word as he finally turned to speak to Eva again. âIf you are not here to train, leave me in peace. It would be ill advice to provoke me.â
his question is ignored for the sake of such spectacle. delicate features reveal absolutely nothing  ;  mouth pursed, gaze steady, arms crossed. EXPRESSIONLESS. cruel tendrils of dark satisfaction unfurl inside her soul       she's enjoying it, the boy's fear, his helplessness & subsequent defeat. his pain, it feeds a darkened heart exactly with what it needs. SHE'S PROUD. soon enough the young man is gone, not a single ounce of her attention wasted on him as he hurries past her frame.  â incredibly motivational speech. â  amusement is quite obvious, a roll of her stare following his angry reply.  â don't flatter yourself, cariĂąo  :  the world does not revolve around our little games. i merely wished to ask how you're faring  .  .  .  we are FAMILY after all. â  saccharine twist of full lips, they stretch until white teeth show  (  white & sharp  )  in a bright smile. she's moving now, legs carrying her towards the weapons she's seen so many other times. pale fingertips graze a sword, & hazel eyes move towards preston, peering from below thick eyelashes.  â but if you want to train, then so be it. do you think you can defeat me ? â  there's a playful quality in her voice, unique & reserved only for special occasions & certain moods.
