Carry on Countdown Day 30: Christmas

Holy shit guys, I actually did it, like I actually did ALL of the prompts! And I’m really happy with at least 20 pieces! I legit haven’t drawn this much ever, I initially just planned to do little doodles for each prompt but somehow they all turned into full fledged pieces aaaaaahh

It was actually such a challenging task, especially some of the prompts like apocalypse because that’s not usually the kind of art I do. But this was such a great exercise for me as an artist because I’m hopeless and sometimes go months without drawing, thinking everything I produce is crap. It’s such a testament to how much I love Simon and Baz that I actually stuck with this and felt inspired to draw something every single day(my head is still teeming with new ideas and AUs tbh). Thank you @rainbowrowell for creating this world, it was honestly life changing for me💓

Thank you to all of you who’ve liked and reblogged and left such lovely words of encouragement on each post! It’s so so so lovely to wake up to them and it’s all so overwhelming and make my day so much better. I love you all!

Sorry for that giant wall of text. I’m going to take a break now and read all the lovely fics from the countdown and relax for a bit. I want to work on some original stuff because my insta is actually abandoned at this point lol.

I know a few iterations of this scene have circulated already—my timing is awful. But I loved this moment so much, and the image of Simon fighting through his wounds to save Baz’s life wouldn’t leave me alone until I drew it. ❤️

He gets to the end of the ramparts, but instead of stopping, he leaps up on top of the wall, then out over the moat - just takes a running jump off the building! And doesn’t fall! He floats out over the moat and lands on the other side. It’s the prettiest thing I’ve ever seen.

I’m reading Wayward Son right now and it has inspired me to dig out all the sequences I sketched out from Carry On. Hoping to finish them all in the next few months! (And then proceed onto some Wayward Son art :O )
