charle’s face twisted when noah sounded and looked so happy when this was, actually, a tragic night. he just nodded and followed him outside, being sure to have the door closed behing them. even so, he walked away the damn glass door zendaya had in her back yard. “the fuck just happened back then?”, charles was straight to it, sure that he was on ticking clock to save his friedn .”is this a fucking stunt? are you pranking us all, is that what this is all about?”, he had his hands in his pockets.

"finally", Charles saw Noah show up at zendaya's kitchen and shouted at him, as if they were in some sort of crowded party and not in a dinner at someone's house, where everyone could hear them. this whole night was ludicrous on Charles' mind, the fact that he was at z's house alone baffling him, but when he learned why, it all took a turn to the worst. and he had to do something about it. so he stopped noah from going whenever he was heading to, standing on his way. "we have to talk. right now", charles said, looking at his eyes, showing it was urgent. @ncahcentinechq

honestly, at this point, what don’t netflix have? you’re gonna think i’m kidding, but i deadass saw a trailer for a show called sexy beasts. it felt like a bad trip. no offence, netflix; please don’t fire me. see, buddy. i knew you would be! we do need a third team mate, yes. should we go for another charles? so that we can be charles³. or should we prioritise somebody with athletic ability? i think just one? but we can share, right?

...what is that show about? please don’t tell me they are sexualizing animals or something like that or I'm even going over there to protest. oh yeah, you’re a netflix boy. watch out! i’m 100% your man, i’ll go gladly put on a tight shorts and jump on imaginary lava. i think we should find another charles with athletic ability. should we list all the hollywood’s charles and see what we can come up with? we def can share, let’s just be the traveling lava lamp society.

the puzzled expression lingered a little longer as she tried to think back to 2019 to try to remember what campaign charles was talking about. even though she had modeled for calvin klein as well, she clearly hadn’t kept up with any of their other campaigns. “but you had lots of other great model jobs. who needs calvin klein anyway ?” hailey tried to lighten up the mood, even though she knew that the whole situation combined with shawn showing up with camila was gonna make it really hard to elicit a smile from charles. by now, he was like a big brother to her and it broke her heart that she was responsible for the pain in his eyes. swallowing hard at his question, hailey wished she had a drink right now she could down just as fast as the male had hers. “i didn’t know that they were gonna show up here together, but yeah, i did know that they went on a date,” the model finally broke the silence, a sigh escaping her lips, her gaze drifting to the floor, not able to meet his eyes. “because i set them up.” she knew she had to be honest with him, the last thing she wanted was to lie straight to his face. “i never meant to hurt you with that, i’m sorry.”

staring at the ground the entire time in an attempt not to burst into tears, he just looked at hailey when he realized her role in all of this. "right," he shook his head, trying to recover. "of course”, that was a shocking reminder that, above all, hailey was camila’s bestfriend. a second ago he felt like he could confind on her and tell everything that was going on in his head, but then, like hitting a wall in full speed, he felt like he couldn’t. he couldn’t tell noah, he would have to endure for justin and camila and now, not even hailey. a dizzying sensation came over him as he realized that everyone around him had moved on but him. everyone seemed to have evolved into something further, while charles was still trapped in a broken heart from almost two years ago. “no, it’s cool”, he broke into a smile, shrugging. he was deeply hurt, but he was still an actor. “oh look shawn is up”, he pointed to the stage behind hailey as he took care of changing all his body language. going from someone about to have a nervous breakdown to one just standing there and watching a performance. “..who is that with him?”, he asked as a dark haired woman went on stage. maybe it was blunt denial, but it took a hot second to reconise camila. she went to red carpet with him and now they were performing together. that felt like a solid relationship for him. his chest burned with jealousy as his fists balled into his pocket. he knew he was not going to be able to stand there, watching that scene, peacefully or show any kind of joy. pulling out the phone, he made a frustrated face. "wow, my agent is calling me. i forgot i had to go to italy this morning," he lied, reaching over to hailey's shoulder to give her a goodbye squeeze. "see you around?" he said, starting to walk towards the exit.
