“Please tell me that child didn’t stick his hand in that stingray’s mouth.” He sighed loudly. He hated this whole “petting zoo” thing the aquarium thought was cute. Some people needed to control their kids, it isn’t the aquarium’s fault if the kid gets their hand stung or bitten. He was practically teasing the poor animals. Julien reached into the tank to pet Dotty, “such a good girl. You deserve extra fish for being so patient,” he hummed. He might have done it anyway, he was extremely biased towards his favorite animals.
The next wave of kids and adults came in, he gave a polite smile towrds the nearest woman. She was attractive and that made him smile wider. “Welcome, ma'am. Dotty here likes it when you pet her underside, but please be careful and keep your hand away from her mouth. I can’t gurantee the safety of your fingers, she’s a spoiled glutton.”
Charlie had been called child-like before for fully experiencing and enjoying all types of petting zoos but didn’t deter her. If there were animals involved that she could pet and play with, Charlie was there. Maybe it was weird for a grown woman to be in line at the aquarium’s petting display but ask her if she cared.
“Hi,” She greeted with a large grin filing in after all of the kids. “Oh Dotty, huh? Hi, pretty girl. How many kids haven’t followed that rule and gotten their fingers bitten, hm?” She asked as she carefully slinking her hand into the water to pet the stingray. Charlie turned to face him with a wrinkle of her nose, “How many of them deserved getting bitten?” She asked in a lower voice before chuckling softly.
