Episode 2: First Day of School
In our last episode, we talked about my childhood; in this episode, I'm going to tell you about my first day of school.
I always wanted to go to school as a kid since that is what I see in my elder sister. It excites me to buy and prepare school supplies; whenever they go to the shop to get school supplies for my elder sister, I always want to accompany them and buy supplies for myself, even if I still don't attend school. Back then, my favorite game was roleplaying with my cousins in which we played as students, cutting paper into pieces and labeling it with the amount of money and distributing it to us as if it were our school stipend. We use it to buy food, items, and toys. When I was going to leave for school, which was my first day, I was so excited that I prepared my clothing the night before, and I even slept with my clothes by me. I even get up early in the morning to shower and eat breakfast. Traveling to school excites me because it allows me to meet new people, make new friends, and meet my teachers. But the moment I stepped inside the classroom, I became nervous. I wanted to cry in the classroom as my mother was about to leave, despite the fact that she would only wait for me outside till I finished my class. But, unlike my other classmates, who cry a lot, I kept my cool and told myself that I had to do it since I'd been dreaming of going to school since then, so I simply had to enjoy my first day at school. We had snack time after my first three subjects, which excites me since we used to play it with my cousins, and now I get to experience it in real life, where I have real money to spend on whatever I want. I even became friends with my seatmates and went buying food with them. After class, we went to Jollibee with my mother for lunch, and it is still my favorite, go-to food to this day. My feelings are consistent from the time I get up in the morning until I go to bed at night: I am happy, thrilled, and enjoy myself. That day was the happiest day of my life because my dream came true, and it was the best and most unforgettable event of my life. I'm overjoyed because I got to experience everything as a child. Whereas children these days are obsessed with devices, we are not. We had a lot of great experiences, such as playing outside, different types of street games, roleplaying, and so on. Everything we used to fantasize about became a reality up to this point, and it was the finest.
