Interesting monument found in Byparken (city park).
"Byparken in Ørestad City serves both as a backyard for those who live around it, but is also a public park that is open to all. Here you can play on artificial turf pitch, dropping the dog loose in the dog park or socialize in one of the eight "islands" with various activities." - Ørestad.net
Danish post boxes
In 2012, these were scaled down, following the decrease in use of conventional mail. The red post boxes can be found around the city. To find one, simply go to postdanmark.dk.

Ørestad Skyline
"The development of Ørestad is taking place within framework of the master plan with which the Finnish architect team won the competition. The master plan outlines in broad strolls a neighborhood designed according to a high international standard - with top-class urban planning and architecture.
The overall master plan for Ørestad includes a general requirement that it must appear as a modern counterpart to Copenhagen's old city centre. The district shall have a high architectural and environmental quality." - www.orestad.dk
One hour before closing in Ismageriet
It's hard to get a seat and there is always a line. (Queue is shorter during the day.) However, the homemade ice cream is definitely worth the wait! My personal favorite is the blueberry yoghurt ice cream. :-)
Note: Opening hours is from 11am until 10pm.
Starting early
Saw these 4 kids around the age of 5 biking together. There was an adult in front and another one behind. It really captures the biking culture in Copenhagen. :-)
Papirøen, København (Paper Island, Copenhagen)
"Right opposite the Royal Danish Playhouse is Christiansholm, better known as Papirøen ("Paper Island"). You can probably remember the distinctive grey buildings with their red gates, which mysteriously faced the harbour. For several decades this was where the Procurement Association of the Danish Press stored their paper: hence the name, Papirøen. But when the Procurement Association of the Danish Press terminated their contract at the end of 2012, five years ahead of time, this paved way for all sorts of new opportunities and exciting experiments on this central, and much sought-after site.
Until the end of 2012 Papirøen was one of the harbour's last industrial area with no public access. But now that the paper store has departed, at last we can take a peek behind the red doors. Papirøen is now in a process of transformation from a closed-off industrial area to an open, vibrant urban area: a location for exhibitions, creative businesses, cafes and restaurants, but all on temporary basis." - DAC
Hansens Flødeis (Hansen's ice cream), Copenhagen Street Food
"With design as a key element in its business strategy, ice cream maker Hansens Flødeis has achieved convincing results. This family business has seen impressive growth both in Denmark and abroad, an accomplishment that is strongly related to a brand created through the strategic use of design." - Sanna Lund Hansen
