I'm horrified by the sheer amount of misinformation people spread about Israel and Palestine.
I've been mislead to believe that Zionism was the word for what Kahanism is.
I'm disgusted by the amount of racism, antisemitism, and conspiracy theories being thrown around by so-called leftists who were supposed to understand these things are wrong.
The absolute hatred I, as a black person faced from the overseas Pro Palestine movement for wanting to vote for Kamala Harris, even though she wants a ceasefire and Trump is a fascist.
I've witnessed people being mad at Kamala Harris for [checks notes] not wishing death on Israelis, as if people deserve to die for where they live or being Jewish.
I've witnessed people defending the horrific actions of Hamas when they quite literally are hurting Palestinians. You get treated like you're "ruining the vibe" if you point out Hamas is hurting Palestinians, which is disturbing because these people claim to want to help them.
Everyone (including me, nobody is exempt from this) needs to fact check and make sure they are not being emotionally manipulated into accepting genocidal propaganda against Jews.
I found myself, as a black person, absolutely horrified by how a movement that is supposed to be about stopping a genocide has so many disgusting people who think killing people is okay if they live in the "wrong place."
How so many times people would say they're not antisemitic and just want peace, but then when someone in the community screams about wanting to kill Jews people don't call them out or hold them responsible, as if they secretly agree.
I witnessed a former friend, a so called far leftist revolutionary, admit they started watching QAnon propaganda videos.
I want there to be peace and an end to this war, but Hamas cannot be allowed to terrorize people if that is ever going to happen.
I want to, as a goy, apologize for any misinformation I've spread about Israel or Palestine.
Going forward I want to be part of change for the better, and educate myself enough to be a proper ally.
Nothing about wanting Jews and Israelis to die is "anti genocide," and the blatant antisemitism allowed to fester in a community that was supposed to be about social justice has turned it into a pipeline.
