bar none’s all that glitters new year’s eve party had been a blast, but it was time for callie to choose where they were heading to. and this was a party more appropriate for the couple. as midnight approached calliope took brooke to the gatsby’s house party, it was an event she attended yearly and this year she wanted to bring brooke along, to show her another part of her world. as they arrived the brunette took the blondes hand on her own and before guiding her in she inquired. “are you ready, babe ?”

“oh, jeez- i think if that happened to me, i’d just start CRYING. but, wouldn’t someone just shoot you instead of asking, if they were really about to take you out?” she posed, brows raised, a small smile lining her features. “hey! you’re gorgeous, that’s why!”

“i mean i guess. but girl in the moment that was not the way my brain was processing. i was just shooketh, like literally.” she expressed, chuckling at how cringy her own words had been, she blamed it on all the vine compilations she’d been into as of lately. “well aren’t you a gem. thanks for the compliment, babe. you are gorgeous too.” she then returned the compliment.

her sister’s words caused ivy to raise a brow, a rather concerned look on her face as she listened to the story, when she got to the punchline, a chuckle escaped her lips. “oh, sis, maybe they were shooting for guinness book of records, searching for the world’s weirdest people ? i think you’d win that title.” the brunette gave her sister a grin, ivy was a natural jokester, always finding the perfect opportunity to annoy her siblings.

her sisters words instantly caused vienna to laugh out loud. “you’re such a lil asshole.” she told her jokingly. “lets be read here though. we all know that you’re the one here that would win that title.” she teased her. ivy was known to be the family joker, vienna was more than used to this by now. in fact this often brought a smile to vienna’s face, made her happy even on not so great days.

pristine white cheer shoes hit the concrete as valerie steps out of the café, eyes glued to her phone (and a text from her blackmailing teammate) that occupied one hand as the other held an iced coffee. the distraction was what caused the cheerleader to barrel into contact with someone walking by, sending her phone to the ground and her drink to splash back onto her uniform shell. the cool beverage making the below freezing weather more painful, taking into consideration her lack of winter clothes on her body. she’d just returned from a nationals qualifier meeting and was only clothed in her rather revealing uniform. it took her a second to register the accident. “shoot, i’m SO sorry ” she apologized, bending down to pick up her now-cracked phone, her miniskirt a bit too short for the maneuver. “i didn’t get anything on you, right?” she shivered, tossing the empty cup in the trash nearby.

it was winter break yet gia still managed to be doing school work, she hadn’t been too focused in college at first, but now that she was on her junior year she was putting everything into her studies. she knew she’d have a good life regardless, however; she wanted to be someone other than just one of her fathers many offsprings. with a handful of books and ipad on her arm she made her way into the coffee shot, she sat everything down and then went to get in line, all when she felt the frame of the shorter girl running into her own, coffee spilling everywhere. “what the fuck !” she shouted as an initial reaction, jumping back in an attempt to avoid the hot liquid from reaching her. the brunette shook her head annoyingly, before looking at the other, sighing as she gave her the chance to speak. “i guess not. just pay more attention to what you’re doing. a text reply can always wait.” she advised her.

“The absolute best thing about winter is being able to wear long sleeve shirts and long pants with a beanie without having to pretend like you’re not dying from a heat stroke.” He said to the person standing by him, quite happy with his own clothing choice for the day. “But the snow is way too much, I dont think I want to deal with it the rest of my life.” Reid carried on.

“ah we have a winter fashion fanatic i see.” the young woman replied with a light nod of her head as she continued to listen to the male. “i completely understand your point though, it’s nice to be able to wear what you like without feeling like you’re being judged.” expressed the brunette. “snow is not so bad. you just gotta wear layers on layers and you will survive it. plus it’s only seasonal, not year long.” lily added.
