Starting the base for some delicious Fried Macaroni and Cheese Bites. After we pop this gem in the freezer for about an hour we will roll it into 2” Balls and put them back in the freezer for an additional 30 minutes before we send them through the Egg Wash and the mix of Italian Seasoned Bread Crumbs and Panko and fry them until they reach a beautiful golden brown color. Serve with a Pomadoro Sauce.

One of the longest relationships of my life is coming to an end... and it would seem as though I’m all up in my feels about it. For almost twenty eight years I have had one “Go To” item at Taco Bell. Over the years there has been one added or subtracted here and there, but one tride and true has been there for almost three decades... the Grand (it used to be) and Glorious (groundbreaking in its time) Tastey and Delicious... 7-Layer Burrito. The vegetarian strong hold... the thing you order off the menu without modification. Food that is already prepared in such a way that you may simply order as is.
Sitting here sipping my morning coffee, I came across a shared news post from this past Friday discussing the details of the 11 items Taco Bell would be removing from their Menu... I always go right for these articles... is today the day... I always look for it... first thing... scroll the list... today it hit like a ton of bricks right to the gut... there it was... my beloved 7-Layer Burrito. I didn’t know today would be the day when my alarm went off... Taco Bell and I have finally officially broken up. I have needed an excuse for years... my dirty little secret is officially purged!
RIP 7-Layer Burrito. Here’s to the countless memories... oh... and thanks for saving my life in college!
