"Attley….“
Posey couldn’t help, but say Attley’s name drift off her lips like butter on warm toast. The moment of silence between the two were painstakingly long before the blonde had said something. Yes, the Instruman that had stabbed her right through the chest. It probably frightened Attley much more than it had Posey.
"I’m alright, please don’t worry yourself, Attley.”
Taking the other’s hand, Posey rests Attley’s hand against were the Instruman had stricken her. It was almost as if it had never even happened.
"See? I’m okay. So no need to blame yourself.“
Instead of standing in front of Attley, Posey moves herself to sit right next to Attley, folding her hands onto her lap. She looked out into the darkened warehouse, listening to various things creaking around them. At least now, Posey felt at ease for the most part, but the creaking didn’t really help her much with thought.
{::IN STITCHES::}
Attley’s eyes slipped closed, feeling the place where the cello’s sword had impaled Posey. There was no evidence of a wound, no bleeding or scarred skin. It was as if she had never been injured, and the scarecrow felt an immense amount of relief at this. She hadn’t realised how much that had been weighing on her mind.
“You’re okay.”
Her eyes opened to meet Posey’s own concerned expression. She wondered if anything like this had happened before, what with them supposedly having reincarnated several times over.
“Even whilst running scared, I was still....worried about you. I wasn’t sure what to think but despite everything going on, seeing you get hurt like that was horrible.”
She sighed. It had been an incredibly confusing few days and Attley felt so exhausted, both physically and mentally. There were so many questions in her mind that wanted answers, battling with her equally growing desire for rest. If she began asking too many, the rest would pour out in an endless stream and she wouldn’t be able to stop herself, so instead Attley leaned to rest her head on Posey’s shoulder.
“I suppose it only gets stranger from here.”
