Do you have any theories on the meaning behind Long Live the Black Parade?

unfortunately i’ve been pretty checked out lately, nothing i can say hasn’t already been said. this new concept really wasn’t resonating with me and i think a large part of that is because what the black parade means to me personally so to see an album that offered me such comfort during a tough time now descend into fascism when a major country is descending into fascism and i and the rest of the world are directly dealing with the consequences in our everyday lives, this was a tough sell.

and i don’t think this is a true narrative/critique on fascism, i think this is a story about gerard because that’s all of gerard’s stories. i will never get over him not understanding the irish fuck the queen chant at the swarm tour in 2022, he isn’t educated enough to tell a story like that, but i do not object to him telling his story how he wants. but i won’t pretend that it’s something that it’s not. i do really wish this was for a new album

to be fair seeing the show live did improve my opinion as they are so incredible live, but the friends i brought to see it with me who are casual fans were frustrated that they were having trouble understanding what was going on and the story line. they felt left out of the party, and that’s saying something. a story so convoluted that only the most dedicated can be close to piecing it together.

but i’m so glad they are still a band and still touring and they seem like they’re doing good

What are your views on the nature of Gerard's and Lindsey's marriage--especially nowadays? (I saw this crazy rumor by setyoulose that they're in an open marriage.)

my views haven’t changed much since jimmy’s court case and lindsey’s cancellation, i think it shifted their power dynamic to favour gerard because it made lindsey need gerard more and gave her a victim role where he could be her protector. when he was struggling with his mental health and didn’t have the band or anything going on she was his “protector”. you get to call the shots as the protector.

this is also why he tries to reform his wife’s image on stage, etc etc.

i haven’t seen any rumours of an open relationship, i also haven’t been pay much attention. if that account is a tumblr one i think they have me blocked lmao

i have heard rumours of cheating in the past, it’s not unheard of to open the relationship to gain a sense of control over a cheating partner, but i don’t know anything.

i always knew bob bryar wouldn’t live a long life. naively i thought that other people understood that. but then i would watch fans fall for his self destructive bait, hook line and sinker.

“i don’t support bob” yeah no one did. anyone who tried was pushed away. he was alone and he died and days passed until he was discovered.

i’ve always been curious of who receives help for their mental health. how for some people the world stops for them and people rally around them and for others they are entirely toss aside and ignored. (think about it). i think it is charisma at the end of the day. bob didn’t have it.

and bob was very difficult.

poor mental health can make you be real fucking shitty. especially is you were already a bit of an asshole to begin with. it can make you self sabotage. where there isn’t anything off limits to wreck your own life. where is the line of accountability and illness? can there never be redemption? and what about those who never get better is there no understanding at least?

when it comes to the right wing stuff, you got to realize that maga is a cult, and cults prey on the vulnerable for recruitment. a mentally deteriorating white man is their main demographic of recruitment. but i was always a bit skeptical of his politics mainly because i could see he was trying to piss fans off and that was one of the easiest ways to do it. how authentic was it really. because when it actually came to the causes he supported it was always about animal rights and supporting shelters. he auctioned off his drums and black parade costume and donated it all to animal shelters. those are his actual actions compared to his words.

and who knows if he even voted in this last election, he was last seen alive the day before. and remember he was just a citizen, being the ex drummer from mcr actually doesn’t give you political power. he was just a man. self isolated one too.

and you can’t tell me that this fan space actually gives a shit about holding people accountable. mcr fans are always willing to overlook the prejudice of their favourites, but will make up stories about others to hate on them. bob is accountable to his actions, but mcr fans have also created heavily exaggerated lore for him as well. I hate the high horse, if you were bullying him online when he was alive that does not make you a good person and did nothing to help any cause you claim to support.

and if you care about mental health and envision a future where everyone can get help and become stable and happy, you should at least be curious about what could have been different to have a different outcome. bob slipped though every crack.

i am glad they did the tribute in chicago.

the resale tickets for the show are crazy, so many available for dirt cheap, anyone who didn’t get tickets in seattle, now’s your chance!

i don’t even think it’s resellers, i think it’s a mixture of usa boycotters and americans who might have been financially stable last year who are now dealing with an incredibly uncertain economy and saving to prepare for likely hardship ahead of time.

it’s not just my chem, i notice for a lot of big shows that resale tickets aren’t selling. it seems like the intense demand for live music is starting to cool off

life has changed so much since last november.

i’ve done something that would have shocked a younger version of myself, i sold my concert ticket.

i’m sure the show is going to be incredible and very special and i will fully be missing out,

but it is not worth my safety or the safety of my friends. it is not worth supporting the economy of a country that threatens its neighbours, throws foreigners into camps and so much more.

what strange circumstances both post break tours have been.
