i think, perhaps. in youth. i waited for god. a god ? i expected god. you know, the stories. the miracles. the "for god so loved the world."
and yet somehow, the world. it burns, and burns. and burns. and burnt.
i tried to listen. i think. so much silence. and so, so much noise. unbearable. but never a god.
and yet. somehow. one never leaves it behind. it's latin america after all. so it's god and god. and god.
and still. my small voice. a prayer.
and never god
i swoon
beneath a bright moon
and, perhaps soon
well, perhaps soon
violet-reds
purple-blues
in shade of trees

in times of need
i've been
mostly writing poems
about trees
and molotov co-
well, mostly leaves
and petals
quite uselessly

restless trees shiver
in the breeze
see how they reach
reaching
for me
i'm not sure
how long we'll be around
but have you seen
the green of those trees
the light on those leaves
the laughter
laughter when we breathe

you are hope
hibiscus flower
hummingbird and
honey bee
you disappear
in evening spring
dusk and
final freeze
tree
of brand new leaves
in the breeze
waving at me

i didn't know, what to do . at the end of the world . so i watered some house plants . took a few swigs myself . if i'm being honest. are we honest now ? and that made the stars . not seem farther . i felt like a tree in spring. without it's leaves .
we saved the world today
well, you saved the world
while i was walking by
and i caught your smile
at my shy wave
well, you saved the world
today

oh fuck
i just saw the photos
of my ex-girlfriend
she's happy
and i'm shit
- a poem
out in the shade of a tree
where so much begins
and everything ends
i dug my feet down
gnarled and rooted
down, among the happiest
creatures of earth
-
and i
i was the branches, twigs and the leaves
grasping and reaching, out in the breeze
searching, oh searching
for the heart of a tree
i'm having a drink or two. planting petunias ,
and i'm not sure. i'm kind enough

she's a boat full of flowers
well. she's the flowers
the red, yellow
yellow, orange
well. she's the flowers

people in power. choosing people in power. but it's ok. it's the way,
it's always been done.
will he keep his hands to himself?
keep your laws to yourself
-fragment
have you seen the way
these leaves , are falling ?
