im completely addicted to Open Link in New Tab
if Open Link in New Tab is wrong then baby i dont want to be right
Knowing that Eridians have much longer lifespans, and also he can't be at every school on the planet at once, Ryland Grace decides to record a bunch of entertaining science lessons with Rocky's help.
Hundreds of years later, Eridian kids still get excited when the substitute teacher rolls in the 3D shape projector, because they know they're in for an episode of Friend Grace the Science Ace.
Not Matt coming back to Karen with Dex on his shoulder like “I can fix him.”
I keep hearing “grace wears science pun shirts to break the ice with his students” “aww grace wears those shirts to make science more interesting to kids”. Bullshit dude, in all of the classroom scenes he’s wearing business casual. His dumbass science shirts are for the love of the game and nothing else
As someone who grew up around a lot of scientists as a result of having a scientist dad, this movie was the most accurate portrayal of scientists I've ever seen and the goofy shirts are an integral part of that

I love reading all the theories about who wrote each part of LoTR and how, and my favourite addition to it is probably the idea of Sam actually writing/editing his own POV parts in all three main books, which is also painfully obvious.
Because when Frodo describes himself we don't really have much of description of his looks or/and oftenly his personality. We know what he says, what he thinks and what he does but it is rarely accompanied with any kind of physical description from him, because he has no desire to describe himsef detailingly.
When we move to Sam's pov, however, we have whole multi-paragraph description of how beautiful Frodo is, how his almost transparent skin shines under the sun, how peaceful his face is in his sleep, how cheerful is his laugh and how painful it is to look at his hardships. Like, the difference beetwen Frodo from general pov and Sam's POV is incredibly sweet and so, so funny.
Frodo: This is Frodo. Frodo is Just A Guy. He's currently going through the worst time of his life. Frodo looks like Frodo. Please, let him exist in this mortal plane for one more second.
Sam: This is the most beautiful creature and being on the whole Middle Earth. There's no one braver and better and more resilient than him. Here's twenty paragraphs about how wonderful he is and how beautiful his naked skin is in a Mordor Torture Chamber. I love him so much did you know that Frodo Baggins is so majestic. Did you know that.
Samwise the SNACK 🍰✨
BONUS:
cut the panels for a better view🌷:
"Samwise Gamgee is considered to be a real hero of the Lord of the Rings for me, not Frodo" Samwise Gamgee is considering fucking murdering you the second you ever think about uttering this sentence.
frodo means so much to me. he was so full of life before the ring. he read books and climbed trees and played with merry and pippin. he liked parties and drinking and gossiping with his older cousin. by the end of the story he's a hollow shell of the person he used to be because he did the right thing without needing to. despite the ring corrupting him throughout the entire journey, he had courage without hope of survival and pushed through. when he goes home the shire is burning. when the fires are finally put out he can't stay forever because he is sick and traumatized. he doesn't get a hero's welcome. he doesn't get the happy ending. he did what he had to do to save middle-earth but in the end he could not save himself. frodo baggins is the unsung hero in his own story.
is this anything
vastly overlooked moment in amok time: spock talking abt how vulcans go crazy during pon farr, saying that kirk will find it distasteful
and kirk responding ‘will i?’ in this shaky, almost giddy voice . weirdo freak is EXCITED abt that
I heard this audio and knew what I had to do
I just got very, very obsessed with lotr and I think I'm going crazy. Like, usually with hyperfixations I feel joyful and giddy, but this is sooo different. Idk why but I feel like the movies left me with some type of existential sadness, like I'm not gonna lie I've cried like 5 times over these movies since I watched them.
It's just Frodo, like he's so tiny and so brave and dammit I'm crying again.
you know what always used to bum me out about due south post-canon fraser/kowalski fic
nobody ever seemed to even consider that they might stay in the territories. I always put this down to assuming that ray could never love it long-term
like? it's a place people live. my sister lives in the nwt. you should see her ig, that place is gorgeous
I agree with this so much
I think people overestimate the importance of a "place" for Ray. Fraser has a "place" and he NEEDS to be there, he belongs in the territories (and I think any fics that have him decide to leave again are ooc), but I think the equivalent of that for Ray is just to be with Fraser. Their dynamic always reminded me of this quote from Star Trek (with Ray being a stand-in for Spock, and Fraser for Kirk):
Edith Keeler: [to Kirk] You know as well as I do how out of place you two are around here.
Spock: Interesting. Where would you estimate we belong, Miss Keeler?
Edith Keeler: [to Spock] You? At his side, as if you've always been there and always will.
Edith Keeler: [to Kirk] And you... you belong... in another place.
hyperfixations are so embarrassing like nooo don’t look I have a crush. on this tv show
