i am literally begging, anybody who reads this, if you answer a not-a-prompt, you need to do more than just decide what characters you’re going to play before asking “are we ready to start?”

like? no? if it was just a case of deciding on characters i would have written a prompt, since most posts with starters tend to have the same “who can you play” conversation. i need more than characters to write a starter! setting? plot? kinks? i’m not making those decisions on my own after you’ve already connected, damn

if you’re going to check if your partner’s ok, the best way to do that is by expressing your intentions (so, like, physically asking if everything is alright). if the only verbiage you give them is “hello?”, the person on the other end of the screen has no idea what your intentions are, and is forced to assume your meaning by how your message comes across. and how it comes across is entitled and pushy. people need more than one word to go off of.
