super quick and pretty shittty sketch bc no references this time. ily mari. it's adorable how close your bday is with basil dearest. i rlly like that in the end, you really are a teenage girl. i wish we could see more of you. sorry that you had to grow up quick but not enough in the end.

You're extremely dear to me. I've debated what to make him wear, as I wanted to draw him a little stylish. The polos and undershirts or just button-ups get tiring after a while. A little bit dramatic, huh?

I don't really understand anything about fashion, so I went with the ouji-like style and a photo of a visual kei artist.

I know you don't exist in this universe, but if there is a universe where you do exist I hope you get to make peace with the events that took place in the game. You get reunited with your best friends again, and just have that carefree smile plastered on your face once more. I think that's what you deserve. I know you can't undo it all, but I also believe that you can heal with the help of others. I hope you get to bask in their love and care again. I hope there is also another universe where that tragedy didn't occur, and you just got to enjoy many more breakfasts with your best friends; you got to laugh with them to your heart's content. I hope you fill up your album(s), you get to make memories with them. I hope you get to attend the best prom parties and eat the best cakes for each of your birthdays.

A loud sigh, mixed with a groan escaped Sunny’s lips. He ended up squatting with a resigned attitude. “Jesus, Aubrey,” he complained, then lifted his head to look up at her goddess, as if he was begging for mercy. She was unable to maintain eye contact after a second or so. “Come on, please. I’m trying my hardest here.”

Scene from Mardy Bum's 4th chapter, which happens to my favourite. I really enjoyed writing it, so I'd be happy if you were to check it out as well.

This was supposed to include Aubrey too but I suck at drawing. Also, the background isn't canonical.

fun fact: for my birthday last year, my boyfriend got me a polaroid camera! for my birthday this year, my best friends got me films :D and one of them even got me an album-like notebook lololol.

I always try to draw him looking at ease. That's because I wish him to be peaceful, at least in the works I subject him to. Though I can't help but portray his melancholy sometimes. I think, for characters like Basil, melancholy is inevitable. Even if nothing were to happen, something inside him would be a little sad. And I think that's okay.

Growing up comes with strings. Everything becomes more and more complicated. Even the feelings you were once sure of becomes muddy and entangled with something else. Sunny knew that best. Aubrey didn't. That's why she was angry.

I'll share the chapters day by day. I'm. I'm just happy that I'm finally done with editing it. It was supposed to be a oneshot.... But I just kept on writing, because I wanted to give everyone depth. Because I like every single one of those characters a bit too much. Now it's 16k words.

Here's the summary:

"In which Aubrey shuts herself in after a break-up while Sunny half-heartedly attempts to become a delinquent. Both of them fail.

Young adulthood isn't all that, you know? When alongside your childhood friend, you can't help turning into your most comfortable self. It's even messier when you end up dating that said friend. In your big age, too. Isn't it embarrassing?"
