Ronda, Spain 🇪🇸
Ronda is one of the most historic and dramatic towns in southern Spain. It is located in the region of Andalusia and is famous for being built on both sides of a deep gorge called El Tajo Gorge.
The town has ancient origins dating back to Celtic and Roman times. Under the Roman Empire, it was known as Acinipo and became an important settlement. Later, Ronda flourished during the period of Al-Andalus and developed into a significant cultural and military center.
One of Ronda’s most famous landmarks is Puente Nuevo, an impressive stone bridge completed in 1793 that spans the gorge and connects the old and new parts of the city.
Today, Ronda is known for its spectacular scenery, historic architecture, and Spain’s oldest bullring, Plaza de Toros de Ronda. It remains one of the most visited destinations in Andalusia and a symbol of traditional Spanish heritage. 🇪🇸
