Hey everyone! An anon in my inbox has inspired me to host a big bang and I’ve decided I want to go out of the circle of doing it for specific ships and characters and am opening it up to the whole fandom!

What is a Big Bang you ask?

“A Big Bang is a specific type of challenge usually involving long fics and accompanying artwork. This type of challenge is a reprise of the old zine tradition of collaboration between artists and writers for internet fandoms.

Most Big Bangs have a similar format: Writers sign up and begin writing stories. When the early drafts of the stories are available, each one is assigned one or more artists, or artists might claim stories from posted summaries. Artists create fanart to go along with the story. This art can take the form of illustrations, manips, photo collages, vids, icon sets, etc.”

I’m structuring mine a bit differently but it’s the same thing. I am also debating on creating a theme for it since it’s going to be open to the entire fandom.

So, if you could please take this survey that will help me greatly in setting this up for us! Let’s revive the fandom starting with the root issue, content :)

Hi! I just wanted to stop by and say thanks lol. I used to really like hetalia in like 6th grade because I was a cringey anime lover, but over the years I grew to hate it due to historical inaccuracies and the fandom being kind of gross. I'm now a freshman in Highschool and I'm obsessed with history, so I'm actually getting back into this dumb show. Your art shows me that you can still keep it historical and the fandom ain't all that bad! So thanks, you're a big inspiration to me.

Ah we’ve all been there. And well, I understand the eventual dislike tbh. It’s a comedy and is meant to be light-hearted at best, unfortunately setting much of accuracy aside for immediate humor.

But I guess, in my opinion only ok, those inaccuracies sorta laid the groundwork for that interest in history like, man, I only knew tidbits of history back then but hey, Hetalia helped me explore further into these things and in the process, share the reality of those things to fellow fans and beyond that.

But hey, enough personal thoughts. I’m grateful and happy that I, my art, give off positive vibes to you. There’s always gonna be downsides to ever fandom. But there are always peeps who do what they can to make your stay worthwhile. Knowing that you appreciate the stuff I do, really means a lot. Thank you so much for your kind words and insight. Hi, guys!

I know I don’t normally do this but, I’d really appreciate it if you take the time to read this for a bit.

This happy little guy is my friend’s baby, Leon. He is 11 months old. His mom and dad are my good friends. They’ve been married for years now and Leon is their ‘miracle baby’ after miscarriages. They were very happy when he finally came along.

Unfortunately, he is born with a condition called Biliary Atresia. It is a rare childhood disease of the liver in which one or more bile ducts are abnormally narrow, blocked, or absent. In Leon’s case, the doctors performed Kasai treatment, where the surgeon removes any problem bile ducts outside the liver. The small intestine is then attached to the liver. This sorta becomes a path that allows bile to drain from the liver.

However, this might just be a temporary fix. If it doesn’t work, he might need a liver transplant, which is very expensive here (around $80,000) or go to Taiwan where the chances of success are higher, though the expenses would probably triple. His mom is a housewife, and his dad’s job isn’t enough to keep up with all of the medical expenses and procedures being done.

Right now, Leon is still in the hospital. His fever has been going on and off and the cause as of now is unknown.
