That serendipitous moment when you hear "Francesca" in a crowd, in the Country of Francescas and still, you turn around because that voice sounds somehow happily familiar, and for a split second that deep unspoken feeling that you always wanted to be called like that and find a long time friend in a country foreign to you for many years. The indescribable happiness of the discovery that , indeed, who is calling you is la Lucia, a longest time friend with whom you have spent many days at the beach, various summer nights in front of a bonfire, gone to the open air movie theater rewatching old horror movies and being scared again. It was like we had seen each other yesterday, looks like she drank the youth potion also, in truth the last time was 21 years ago for my wedding. The story plot thickens when Lucia starts explaining Cec that "your mom was my style icon" that my throat knotted and my smile opened wider than my face could hold. Lucia remembered I got married in sabot, and the most unusual twin set and long skirt combination "she was always years ahead everything". This trip has been a revelation, one for the many stories about Pitti I will tell my grandchildren. #luxuryisastateofmind
