An Ancient Sign of Coming Storm (Event Post)
“Alright, Otomo. Good luck with that.” It might have sounded sarcastic but he really did mean it. For all he was sure Sorin hated him, he believed that he would save all the villagers that he cared about. All that he could anyway. Just out of sight of the army, Motochika slowed his anchor and stopped it, allowing Motonari to get off. “Off to war again. Aint it nostalgic?” he asked while waiting for the anchor to be vacated. Once Motonari was clear he swung it over his shoulder, stuck his free hand in his pocket, and grinned. Then, without further ado, he sauntered into the village. “Hey, you bastards! Why don’t ya try fightin’ a real warrior! Or are ya scared?”
“Thanks a lot, don’t get killed out there either.”, as mean as that came out, he didn’t really hate the other, still, he didn’t want him dead. “Be careful … “, he would pray for the safety of all three of them, Yuuki too, where ever that boy was. Sorin started to circle around the village trying to catch glimpses of this man in green but he didn’t see him quite yet. He shouldn’t worry about that, for now, his concerns were getting the people out, starting with the able bodied who could carry out any elderly, children, or ill from the village. Sorin came behind the soldiers, starting to lead people into the trees as quickly as he could. He could only hope they could protect the village and it’s people without any losses.
Motonari had no words of encouragement for either of them as he stepped down from the anchor and swung his ring blade around his body. This was war, and there are no room for feelings in war. To show attachments and even comraderie was to show weakness and exploitable vulnerabilities. Even in what he considered to be a petty battle like this, he wouldn't dare expose himself in such a manner. "We'll split up, Chousokabe. That is all."
He too walked into the village to assess the situation, finding that many of the buildings were being razed again. Motonari only wanted that green bastard, though, so he kept right on walking, only attacking when someone dared attack him first.
