Put some weirdness in your monster / humanoid characters. I beg of you. Nature is always a great source of that, btw

Give your vampires avian traits. Make lycanthropes that aren't wolves!

Use other bugs to inspire your fairies, not just butterflies!!

Celestials inspired by sea creatures!!! Demons that look like plants!!!

Crustacean merfolk!!!

Take some time to research animal species you've never seen before. It'll improve your day, expand your understanding of the world you're in, and lend some very good art resources to pull from.

The strangeness nature offers is endless and i'll never stop yelling about it. It brings me joy and wonder and a little bit of terror every day and it's one of my absolute favorite things to incorporate in my work.
