* I will use comic book influences, but ( my ) Laura is research-based & central to her original background & based pretty closely to her debut in X’MEN EVOLUTION w/the added spin of Transigen ( from ‘LOGAN’ ). It is important to note that in my main verse, the existence of Sarah Kinney is null. Laura’s mother is of Peruvian-Mexican blood/decent, and Laura goes by her father’s surname, Howlett for lack of knowledge of her birth mother’s identity, though there are comic-book verses, etc. Gracias. EMILIA'S uncertain as to why she'd been called in so quickly. She merely took the call and came as soon as she possibly could, no questions asked - after all, it'd been her lot in life. There'd never been a greater comfort to her than the ability to take care of the earth's helpless creatures ( humans, mutantes, and animals alike. )

She's met with the vet tech and a hurried explanation about a man and a dog and how there was so much blood. Emilia proceeded to provide her best guidance, assuring her aid that it would be just fine. "Make sure you take down his information." she instructs, just barely catching a glimpse of Logan in the lobby while she prepares to better assess the poor canine he'd hit.

Once the animal is sedated and prepped, Emilia comes back around, prepared to ask this stranger all sorts of inquiries...her mind is reeling, most in this area would just drive on, nary a care. But not only had he stuck around to be certain the retriever would pull through, he'd willingly carried him inside. This is a man whose hand she genuinely wanted to shake, or, hell, hug him even.

"Are you Logan?" she begins, "I'm doctor Morales. Um, Emilia." she pauses to look him over before removing her hand from her white veterinary coat pocket, extending it within greeting. "...you've done a very kind thing. There's a little girl that will be so happy that her dog is not only alive but, all right."
