sirpopepic's art is really really good and no hate to her at all but i dont like the way she makes illi into a cis skinny girl when shes modelled after gerard... like i get that illi is pretty much a fan created character but its still gerard playing illi in the end. obviously this is done by a lot of people and im not tryna single her out. she just the most popular example

their interpretation of illi is so cishet and stereotypical, like it’s just not illi’s vibe at all. atp that’s not illi anymore, that’s a whole other character 😭

also the fact that their illi is shorter than frank/warren is lowk crazy. god forbid that there’s a tall girl 💔

there is no 'vibe' to a character that does not even exist. The MCR fandom pulled out Illi McMillin from a 2 second clip. I feel like she can be anything that people want her to be? Whether it's applying to appearance or sexuality because different people will see her differently. And maybe they'd even find ways to relate to her by giving illi the same identity as them, and in my case even branch out as an OC because i've disconnected said character from the OG music vid itself way too much. everytime I draw Illi, I don't have the INOK music vid in mind.. You cant mischaracterise a character that wasn't even established officially in the first place 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hi!! The comics Artstyle is inspired by the works jhonen vasquez , Blakgumz and Tim Burton!! The Artstyle is supposed to reflect on the early 2000s, I wanna make it as natural as possible, not to corny not too boring.Think of it as those comics you find in magazines or..something.. idrk!
