SPOILERS- Given Chapter 29

Now, for those of you who have been waiting with bated breath since November of 2018 to see Akiharu; to see how their relationship has progressed. To see them being domestic, awkward, ADORABLE and just……being the CUTEST couple EVER….. Yeah, uhm… you’re in for disappointment :|
Nevertheless it is still a good one :) Kizu Natsuki Sensei never disappoints #FACT.
The chapter starts off with Hiiragi narrating how he met Mafuyu when they were kids.
He recalls watching Mafuyu who was always alone in the park near their apartment complex.
They eventually started playing together and Hiiragi always looked down on him. From his POV, It’s pretty evident that he’s always had an attitude problem- he’s highly competitive and he hates to loose [reminds me of a certain someone]
To the “delinquent princess” Hiiragi, Mafuyu is like a kid brother (Even though they’re of the same age)
Back to the present, Hiiragi is bickering with Uenoyama during band practice at a studio- over who knows Mafuyu best. [lol]
Hiiragi: I know more about him than you!
Equally “mature” Uenoyama: Mafuyu thinks of you like his little sister! [LOL!!]
They started fighting after Uenoyama slipped up a bit during practice and Hiiragi poked fun at him.
Hiiragi demands Shizu to back him up, who responds with a disinterested “ahh”. Poor Shizu-chan!
Hearing them from outside the studio, Mafuyu tells them to stop fighting. Soon after, Uenoyama leaves the studio together with him.
Left behind, Hiiragi yells out in frustration that he cannot stand him.
Shizu gives no comment but thinks that it’s hatred for his own kind :D
Uenoyama too, on his way back home with Mafuyu, shouts that they have terrible compatibility. Beside him, Mafuyu arrives at the exact same conclusion as Shizu- that he is hating on his own kind. :D
Hiiragi’s band won the CAC and they’re gonna debut soon ^.^
I’m not sure about this bit, but their own guitarist is unable to join them until their official debut or they’re looking for someone new.
Uenoyama is only filling in as their guitarist because they wanted to hold a couple of live performances before that.
Apparenly Hiiragi invited Uenoyama to help them out after he watched him perform at the CAC. Likewise, Uenoyama was also really impressed by their performance.
After a live performance with Hiiragi’s band a few of days later, Uenoyama is surprised when he meets Haruki- who was together with Yayoi.
They tell him that they ran into each other at the entrance and Yayoi quickly excuses herself saying she had to go greet someone, leaving Haruki and Uenoyama alone.
Uenoyama asks him about Akihiko, and Haruki replies he’s really busy practicing his violin these days.
Uenoyama comments they’re all separated but as he expected, ‘Given’ means a lot to him. [Don’t panic, he only meant that they’re all doing things separately instead of being together all the time]
Also that he’s jealous of Hiiragi at times and that he hates feeling that way.
Listening to his admission, HARUKI FEELS SHY [he’s so adorable!!!!]
Then he drops the bomb on Uenoyama->
He tells him rather bashfully that they got a call asking if 'Given’ would like to debut.
YAYYYY!!! :D :D :D OMG THEY MIGHT GET TO DEBUT?!? I understand that Haruki was perplexed about how to convey the news to Uenoyama. I expected him to go “AAAHHHH!!” like he normally does, instead of feeling shy :3
After several INTENSE chapters, this one was quite refreshing!
CONGRATS to Hiiragi and his band! good for them!! Hiiragi is such a brat, and he’s so pretty I love him…!!!!
That’s it for this time. IDK if I’ll write a detailed summary- I will if I have the time!
The next chapter will be out on the 30th of May in the July Issue of Cheri+ And once again, Sensei will be drawing the cover illustration of the Magazine! ^.^ Two cover illustrations back to back! woo hoo!!
Aaaand there’s just SO MUCH HAPPENING with Given! the anime!!! a new volume!! the previous volumes being reprinted! Cute illustrations and merchandise! There was even a stall for Given at Anime Japan 2019 in Tokyo! This is so amazing…!! \(^o^)/
