Let me introduce Harvest Hoppers! This super cute board game supports two to six players and takes 30-60min to play. And did you see the Hoptop? A Hoptop on a bike none the less! We will be launching on Kickstarter on February 21, 2021 (but you can sign up now on our preview page to be notified at launch). I’ll be popping in from time to time to give little behind the scenes peeks at what goes into getting a game ready, and what it's like running a Kickstarter campaign. I’m working on this game, it’s kinda exciting as it’s our first true boardgame so far (most of our games have been TTRPG focused) and it’s also a really fun game to play!

The morning started off a little slow as everyone made their way through check-in, but now the convention floor is hopping! We brought our super cozy TTRPG, Teatime Adventures, with us. And we will be running demo games of Birds of a Feather and our upcoming board game Harvest Hoppers throughout the event! Be sure to stop by booth 4012 and say hi to the team!

A Mollymauk inspired dice box from a bit ago.

Getting older is a weird thing, your back hurts more than you thought it would and things “go out” for silly reasons like “I grabbed a towel wrong” or “I poured my tea” it also means begrudgingly having to adjust to said aging body. I’ve always loved taking pictures. Now I have zero training but I’ve had a camera in my hand since I was a kid and LOVE it.

When COVID hit I kinda stopped, wasn’t a planned thing, it was just a COVID induced depression thing. As soon as I dug my way out of that funk (it’s been a long road back if I’m honest) I discovered that my eyes had changed. This pic was taken using auto focus…now this may not seam like a big deal but for someone who loved manual focus it is a BIG adjustment. It also means I may not be retuning to taking pics of spiders and bugs since my macro lens requires manual adjusting. But we’ll see, right now I’m trying to relearn my eyes and my camera. Hopefully it’s not an end, just a new phase of something I love

The Reaper ship is done! Cut up the sails for a tattered look, added reaper flags to the ship as well. And did a very paired down chain rigging instead of the full rigging I normally do.

Installed red LED light to shine through the cannon bays, cannon holes and cuts in the hull.

Created a decorative base for the ship (this is my second time doing this and I honestly really enjoy it) added a gold mask to play homage to Reapers Hideaway, along with planks, rocks and coral. This was a rough build mainly because I stopped and started so many times. Definitely won’t do that again.

Today was a little sail prep. It’s kinda hard with a cat around though 😆 the sails in this kit are a thin plastic that LOVES to crack and split so my solution is a hot needle that melts a hole into the sail. It works well, but is a bit toasty on the finger tips. May need to look into little rubber mits for my fingers. After the holes are in place the sails are stitched onto the yard. This is where things get dodgy as I have a small and chaos causing cat that tends to be lurking in the shadows and loves the idea of playing with thread.
