Choigana Kardi is a self-taught contemporary artist and illustrator whose main focus is to tell stories through art. She was born in Kyzyl in the Republic of Tuva in 1995. Throughout her life, Choigana has always been fascinated by the power of storytelling in various forms, whether it’s written on pages or presented through images. Choigana primarily works in watercolor and oil mediums. She paints semi-realistic portraits in surreal and magical settings, conveying stories using vibrant colors and whimsical concepts. Choigana’s work takes its form in paintings that explore beauty, human connection and subtle emotions. Her works have been exhibited in various galleries around the world.
