Why are some drugs accepted to society as medicines while others are rejected and demonized? John Hopkins University has been studying the effects of psilocybin mushrooms on humans and have documented their ability to reliably treat anxiety, depression and substance abuse. This substance has been respected by indigenous cultures for its healing properties for centuries yet the only use our modern society seems to have for it is tripping out at music festivals. I am not surprised as our drug policies and (mis)information on drugs have been formed by politicians and corporations rather than scientists and medical practitioners. This is unfortunate however this world seems to go in cycles. I will not be surprised when we see legalization for the medical use of “magic” mushrooms in the near future.🍄 . . . . . #medicine #plantmedicine #indigenousmedicine #healing #johnhopkinsuniversity #psilocybinmushrooms #magicmushrooms #mushrooms #shrooms #psilocybecubensis #boomers #goldtops #goldenteachers #fungi #fungus #mycology #mycophobia #psilocybin #psilocin #fleshofthegods #treeofknowledge #staywoke #trippyart #psychadelicart #mushlove #love #plantteachers #psychadelicsociety #mariasabina #heroicdosesforallpoliticians
