PETER:
chrisargentx didn’t like for a starter byt lys wants to be loved so…
‘’Why do you feel the need to get involved in everything I’m doing, Christopher?’’
“Probably because nearly everything you do involves someone being maimed or dead, Peter.”
Ƥєтєя:
[ once chris takes a seat, peter sits next to him. ]
‘’It’s not a bother. I always enjoy your rather small visits, Christopher. What happened now?’’
[ not a bother. the man was harder to reach than the President, but it’s not a bother. he tried not to think about that, and whatever it seemed to imply. ]
“There’s another detective, Wilson, he started poking around. I found a couple files on his desk, from your crew. I heard him asking one of the arresting officers questions. I’m----I think he knows. Or knows something, anyway.”
Name: Chris Argent Age: 41 Occupation: Detective Relationship Status: Divorced Orientation: Pansexual Chris had always wanted to be a cop, ever since he was little and caught he cop shows his father watched on tv. He wanted to help people, make a difference, and that’s exactly what he did. He graduated high school and enrolled in the police academy the very next day. He was a quick learner and a good shot. He understood people, could read them like a book. Justice would not be lost on his watch. Quickly he became one of Beacon Hills most ruthless and unwavering officers.
But it was a constant struggle. Being a cop didn’t pay nearly enough for him and his family, and with his daughter being accepted into a pricey iyv league university, it wasn’t long before he wasn’t even close to making ends meet. It caused strife in his household, along with the additional time he was putting in. Chris and his wife, Victoria, were constantly a each other’s throats. They loved each other, but between the lack of money and Victoria refusing to get a job, things were slowly falling apart.
One day after bringing in a few men on a particularly bad drug deal, he was approached by none other than Peter Hale. Every cop on the force knew Peter was behind a lot of the shit that kept the them busy, but somehow his hands were always clean. And yet here he stood in front of Chris, asking for a private meeting. Chris went, curious. At he very least, maybe Peter would trip up and Chris could take him down.
As it turned out, he was offered a job of sorts, one that was hard to refuse. All he had to do was refrain from arresting anyone in Peter’s gang and make the records of those brought in by other cops disappear. In return, he would get enough money to not only foot the college bills, but enough to allow him and his family to live comfortably. It wasn’t a hard choice to make. He’d do anything for his family.
It paid well. Very well. Peter didn’t get into the position he was in by being dumb. He knew the risks and paid Chris proportionately. The money was, he thought, going to change everything. He and Victoria could rest easy. Sure it wasn’t like they could just walk around and start buying shit all of a sudden, but there should have been a comfort level. There was not. The fighting worsened, Victoria becoming more and more confrontational until the very day she just walked out on him. Divorce papers arrived in the mail a week later.
Chris remains on Peter’s payroll, doing what he’s paid to do. But it’s hard. Hard to focus, hard to continue to find new ways of getting the job done, hard wrestling with the fact that he’s leading this double work life.
Ƥєтєя:
‘’You don’t say?’’
[ Peter gets up, walks around his desk and stands next to Chris. ]
‘’My, my, Christopher, you look exhausted. Make yourself comfortable. Take a seat. Do you want something to drink while we talk?’’
[ he watches silently as Peter seems to glide toward him, then slowly moves to take a seat. exhausted was an understatement. he felt like he was drowning more often than not. ]
“Sure, thanks. Sorry for bothering you. You know I usually deal with Derek on most things, but----I thought under the circumstances, it would be best for all involved if this passed through you directly.”
Ɗєяєк:
[ he rolls his eyes. chris should look up instead of looking at the file in his hands. ]
‘’How long have you known me, Chris?’’
[ the voice startles him enough to look up and see Derek. he’s been so pressed on reviewing the charges that he hadn’t even looked at the name. he tosses the file on the table and sits down, an unbelieving look on his face. ]
“Long enough. How the hell do you wind up here? You of all people.”
sarcastiiles:
Did he have ‘rat’ written across his forehead or something? Stiles wasted no time in shrugging and almost acting offended at the accusation.
“Are you high? Do I look like I have a pimp that keeps me looking my best? This kitty cat catches his own mice… I don’t know whatever Peter you’re talking about.”
“Do you think it’s wise to ask an officer of the law if he’s high, Mr. Stilinski?”
[ he lays the file on the desk, on the opposite side as the young man and seats himself. he knows very well that Peter is involved here, but he’ll play along. ]
“Okay then, why don’t we discuss your possible sentence. Are you aware that you’re looking at up to 6 months in county?”
[ his eyes scan over the file given to him as he walks into the holding room. ]
“Let me guess, you’re one of Peter’s?”

‘’Christopher. Always a pleasure. To what do I owe this pleasant surprise?’’
[ chris tried to not let Peter’s voice get to him, tried to ignore the way his name seemed to roll off his the man’s tongue, smooth as satin. that voice is partly the reason why he got into this mess in the first place. ]
“We have a situation developing at hq. Could be an issue.”

Peter:
“Chistopher, you’ve been ignoring me.”
“Chris. And no, I have not.”
